PWR Consumption 27.3%

I don't really have anything running right now though. And I just changed power management to 'Optimal Power'

Make sure Afterburner is actually seeing the second card, otherwise any profiles or other changes will only impact card 1.

When I put my second card in, AB didn't recognize it. It just said GPU2 or something like that. Wouldn't even show up under the OSD options. I restarted my machine and it showed both cards as expected. There shouldn't be a 20 degree difference. Right now my top card is 49c and my bottom card is 45c for example.

What speed does it show when you reboot and it is running cool? If it shows the lower idle speed, something is keeping the card in a higher state. Close steam, origins, uplay, etc. Lots of programs can do it.

There is a bug/glitch with SLI where the cards don't downclock at 120hz or 144hz, hence the high idle temps of 49c and 45c I posted about. In my case they won't even DC at 60hz.

It's been around for years. No clue how they haven't addressed it, or most likely, don't care to address it.

No offense... but, that's another reason why I personally avoid SLi like the plague, just so many little issues, annoyances and inconsistencies mad.gif

Are you using prefer max performance on your global profile? I'm on the latest beta build of W10, and have this issue.

Switching to the other more conservative options resolves it for me.

What is the max power draw you guys are seeing with your overclocked/uncapped ( no vsync ) cards, with hwinfo64?
I am just curious if my temps would drastically increase going from a 980ti to a 1080ti, according to hwinfo64 my 980ti pulls upto 325w devil.gif

Firestrike actually scales extremely well with SLI. Much more then any game will. Normal version of Firestrike however places a large emphasis on CPU performance also in the overall score compared to Extreme and Ultra which do to a lesser extent (in part why normal FS is dominated by 8 core and 10 cores). Without seeing the actual breakdown of the scores between the runs you compared, hard to say what is going on. . Here is a fire strike Run on my rig with CPU the same so physics scores are nearly identical, but 1 way and 2 way config at +150 Mhz on core and + 500 on memory (core clock averages 2002 mhz on both runs)

1 Way

2 Way

Nearly 82% scaling.

Yup see the same issue myself on Non-Beta version of Windows 10 also.
