Before I added the gpu I would hit about 72c on the cpu, now with the gpu under water, I hit 83 on the cpu and 56 on gpu after 1 conquest round in bf1. Should be plenty of rad I would think, but it seems way too hot.

The GPU is simply heating the water up and effecting the CPU temps. Try turning the D5 up to a higher setting and turn your fans up higher. I have three UT60 x 360 rads and all I have is a 6800K and 1080ti and if I leave my fans all the way down, temps will creep up. The GPU simply dumps a fat load of heat. CPU hits upper 50's to lower 60's and GPU hits low to mid 40's.
If you hit 56 on your GPU then your loop is starting to get loaded and can't dump the heat fast enough IMO.

bf1 is the hardest game on a cpu. it's worse than a run of cinebench. it's almost burntest level. would recommend a new thermal pasting on cpu and maybe a better sp fan for the rad. Or, turn that dude down to 4.3 @ 1.275 (or whatever yours is at at that freq).

Something is wrong with your loop.

Compare to my old 2011 system with not so much efficient as newer CPU and GPU.

I ran Prime95 + GPU Benchmark, CPU max around 65'c and GPU sit 40'c with room ambient 21'c. My system is a 130w CPU and 250w GPU, and both are overclocked pulling much more wattage.

D5 Pump speed 4 with EK Reservoir, CPU EK Block, MOSFET EK Block, GPU EK Block, distill water + dazmode protector glycol. 360mm Dazmode rad and 240mm XSPC rad.

lol no I have coolaboratory liquid pro under the ihs and gelid gc extreme on top of the ihs. It has always seemed way hot to me. Think I may return it back to stock and see what it is. Honestly not really sure what I'm doing when OC the cpu. Read the haswell guide several times and attempted to redo my OC but still end up about the same.

Wondering if someone can help me diagnose the following.

Just installed my 4x 1080 Ti GPUs on my 2nd rig and put the EVGA 1600W T2 PSU in there as well. Ran 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra - runs fine - all GPUs scale (score is much lower since I'm using the 3970X @ 4.50Ghz).

However, Heaven 4.0 doesn't scale well even at 4K w/ 8x AA!

Games also are not scaling anywhere as nearly well as the first rig w/ the 6950X @ 4.30Ghz.

Can the CPU alone cause this? I'm also running "only" DDR3 @ 2133Mhz (32GB) on the rig with the 4x 1080 Tis whereas on the other rig, I have DDR4 @ 3200Mhz (64GB).

Further, if I use DSR to play at 5K (this rig has the RoG Swift @ 1440P @ 144Hz), the scaling is pretty bad where as 5K on the other rig scales >90% across all 4 GPUs.

If I bump up resolution scale to 8K (150% from 5K or 200% from 4K UHD), the game (BF1) crashes instantly with a DirectX error.

The other rig can play at 8K all day (4x Titan XP).

Why is the scaling so bad when all other components (other than CPU & RAM) are the same? Could the X79 platform itself be limiting scaling somehow?

Would like some advice on this.

Thermal paste was new as of today. Not sure what is needed for 4.3 but I will try to lower my voltage if I can.

I think my rs360 might have some buildup inside it, its like 5 years old atleast now. I disassemble and clean everything atleast once a year. Cpu block is only like 3 months old, added the monsta 240 at the same time.
