SB-E couldn't run pci-E 3.0 without a reg hack:

Some still have issues with the hack, I never did though with a couple 3930ks, a 3960x and two 3970x cpus.

I believe he meant for X79 boards. They need to manually turn on via Regedit, like right now mine is stuck at 2.0 in Windows.

A quick comparison to my 1080 with the same clocks shows 28% difference or GT1 9.5fps and GT2 6fps overall gain:thumb:

Well, after some tedious trial and error I've discovered that my card tops out at 475 mem offset and 2037mhz boost @ 1.0620v kinda disappointing really. I'd hopped to push higher with the hybrid cooler but I guess the silicone lottery wasn't too kind to me this round. redface.gif

Anyone tried under-volting yet?

On my 1080 (air) I'd game with, 2100 MHZ @ 1.0v & 50c.

Fan Curve (3 point only curve):
15% @ 40c
100% @ 60c

On water, GPU temp was never more than 8c-10c above water temp.
