NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Owner's Club - Page 210

My EVGA card does 2050Mhz / 6100Mhz stable in everything i throw at it, but as soon as i go to 2063Mhz it will crash.

My brother on the other hand also got a 1080ti Gigabyte and he can get up 2126Mhz to before it crashes instantly. 2114Mhz he can run maybe half of the valley bench and 2101Mhz he can pass it multiple times. Once he start's other benches like for firestike or heaven and the games he play's ARK survival he can only get 2088Mhz.

I find it weird that his card can get that high but mine just crashes with one bin higher. headscratch.gif

both cards under water

man, you did get lucky. you are in here crying when many of us can only get 2012-2025 max stable and downclock in the 1900s. enjoy your solid midling card. it's above average for sure. average is about 2025/downclocks to 1974

When I get my EK waterblock and backplate on in the P.M. after work I'll post my max core, memory, Heaven stable and temps etc.

I do have my CPU, 5960X at 4.6GHZ with decent voltages one older overvolted Maxwell Titan X as dedicated PhysX and my 1080 Ti on a 360 rad but the Titan X is always at low volts and clocks being a PhysX card so I don't think it'll affect my temps much.

As long as my 1080 Ti is under 60C I'm good!! Probably be well under 50C while benching with Heaven. biggrin.gif

Was rushed doing this post at work, fixed the terrible typos. redface.gif

Oh, and may as well flash the lowest voltage BIOS on my old Titan X.

I'm thinking of selling it though. It has a prefilled Predator 360 waterblock and backplate on it so after I put it in the For Sale section here I'll post it on the Predator forum here. biggrin.gif

I thought with Pascal that you can't add voltage with a physical modification to the card.

I'm still new to the Pascal game but I thought EVGA had a modded LN2 BIOS that unlocked things like that. Could be totally wrong.

I have mine right now at 2050mhz and +550 on memory on water. Haven't tested it for long gaming sessions, but playing Ghost Recond for an hour I had no problems. I will do some more tests over the weekend.

Finally got in that 10k+ Club, took me some time tweaking the system to achieve that. biggrin.gif

OK. So would everyone here say that a pair OC'd GTX 980Ti's in SLI would approximate a single OC'd 1080 TI? I've been looking around comparing TitanXP benches against 980Ti SLI as there isn't much about a direct comparison. If so, I may just make the swap just to help minimum frames @1600p/4K DSR.

Anything would be insightful =)

I checked some HWBOT 980Ti 2Way-SLI FireStrike submissions, it almost seems like what you said... those 2 980ti's can be a bit more powerful in synthetics, but i guess on the long run in games the 1080ti will win, cuz not all games scale like synthetics... but who am i explaining that.... if you use sli you know what i mean

here a link to hw bot 2 way 980ti sli on air cooling you can make some compariosons for your self
http://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark_-_fire_strike/rankings?hardwareTypeId=videocard_2459&start=0#interval=20#cores=2#start=0#undefined=#coolingType=2

and here my score with one 1080ti

I moved from 980ti SLI'd to a single 1080ti, I gotta say, the 1080ti is superior, it may make a few frames per second less in certain titles that had good scaling, but it always feels smoother, regardless, at least with a 1440p144hz gsync display

I went from 1080 SLI to single 1080 ti and I agree with you that this is much better. I think I am going to get the EK-MLC when it's released next month and a pre-filled block and just stick with maximum performance from a Single Card.
