I am blaming nvidia. There the ones holding back. You think there initial order was for 500? Doubt it. Wouldn't look good releasing 5k first month then sales drop. They holding out to make the numbers look like they increasing every month. Definitely blaming them. Guess I'm just not one of the lucky ones.

Anything would be insightful =)

I switched from two watercooled 980ti's. I lost some FPS in Rise of the Tomb Raider and of course in the synthetics. Oddly enough I gained FPS in BF1. Always pegged at 100fps Gsync'd, but it did dip down to 96fps last night, so I'll have to investigate this "issue" hehe.
Everything else my FPS is almost double what it was because SLI sucks these days. I'm so damn happy with the 1080ti that I can hardly contain myself. Totally worth ditching the 980ti's all day long.

I now feel very fortunate to have gotten a card and water block during the first wave and this card is as stable as the laws of physics at 2114/6000 under the EK block with stock voltage and 120% power limit. It sometimes decides to stick to 2101, so its either 2101 or 2114, depending on what PrecisionX is showing. Don't know why it does that, but it doesn't appear to be a throttle as its always one of those two clocks, most often 2114. Once it picks a clock, its just stuck there and doesn't budge after hours of BF1. So it looks like the golden clock to hit for these cards is 2.1ghz and there are cards out there that will do it. A little extra voltage and power headroom might help the cards that can't do it get there.

Also, I just installed GPU-Z to check the ASIC quality and it says that feature isn't supported on this card. WHY? I want to know my ASIC.

just played about 5 hours of it in 4k HDR. Man, the HDR is awesome. really really nice. Not sure hoe hooked on the gameplay i am but the gunplay is a lot better (after an initial breaking in period). Ti keeps frames in the 50s+ with everything on ultra+(custom to get full ultra).

Good to know. The 1080 Ti's going to provide more than enough frames for me at 1440@60Hz; I wish I had the money to go ultrawide@100Hz at the same time for this game but that's going to have to wait a little bit smile.gif

500? where do you get this crap from? they've sold many thousands of units. YOU biought 'the last one' but somebody else cleared checkout before you did. Always a possibility on a poor online store, which fry's is and you got hosed by it. I feel bad for you, but, you sound like you need to just go ahead and wait for Vega, fanboyism is an ugly look.

no ASIC on any Pascal cards. i hate that.
But, yeah, you have a golden one. I'v read this whole thread and you are one of 3-4 who have hit that mark. Mine's stuck @ 2025. pisses me off.

Finally got my card in tonight!

After I placed the order, I tried to go back and set it to over night shipping, but couldn't edit shipping. I got in touch with customer support, and asked if they could upgrade it to overnight, and their suggestion...cancel the original order, and reorder with faster shipping...Yeah right! Not happening, and it took them all of about five minutes to go out of stock again,

The good news is, my card has shipped, I have a tracking number, and it is showing up in FedEx's system, so now all I have to do is wait until Thursday...
