I've played a little of Wildlands and TW3.. if I set it to 2050, it will drop down to 2038 every now and then.. while the 1080 seemed like it dropped lower and more often.

Same here, seeing pretty much the same results, doesn't clock down as aggressively as the 1080 did.

I think this might be my favorite. I don't dig the LEDs so much but I'm sure you can keep all that off.

You must have a fairly specific scenario. I'm running a Vive on the thing and also three monitors with DP-DVI cables. The output configuration is fairly flexible...

I have the same complaint. Solved my problem by using an evga displayport hub for my side monitors. Vive gets a direct connection though as I wouldn't want to impact latency.

The strix has 2 HDMI, 2 DP, and 1 DVI though. Some other vendors are going to add the DVI back in as well on their aftermarket cards.

I figured that. im gonna wait till i can get my hands on another card. i have all petg tubing and fittings so im only trying to do it ONCE! So until then I'll air it out. gonna Start OC in a few and see what i can come up with literally just went back to page one to see what everyones been getting to have a refernece.

Nah, you never have to plug those in. It is nice that the LEDs support asus aura, though.

Main reason why I'm going for it is that it can support Nvidia's HB SLI bridge.

Also supports the OG backplate, which I'm guessing means all the screws will work.

Says so here:
