Agreed it's not amazing, but I'm hoping the cooler temps lead to much more stable clocks without high noise levels.

Disclaimer: I'm not buying it either way lol so it doesn't matter to me, it just seems like my Ti is super sensitive to temps.

I see a lot of users blowing wind up each others skirts but wheres the beef !? aka post with list of downloadable bios? Pics of proper thermal pad placement ? or is this just a fanboy thread ?

For Everyone who is not an expert looking for answer or thinking to go on water need know that putting a water block with reduce throttling and keep core clock more stable.

You could gain 20 to 30 mhz when benching and on gaming have the max core clock more stable.

Me personally when gaming i'm stable at 2100mhz in some games on a 30 min test and pushing further i will not gain any substantial fps on 1440 res that will make a big difference.

So if you think to go on water to gain 50 mhz or more then you should wait until a bios or a mod will unlock power limit.

Vince already unlocked the power limit but i would not suggest to do it since its an hard mod very difficult to do.

For all other reason like silence , temp and reducing throttling i would say go for it.

Any tips on finding a 1080ti in stock? I keep missing out. How do i find out when the next batch is being released?

Also, I plan on water cooling for sure. Is the FE the best card for this? Or should I relax and wait for say, EVGA SC model?
