NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Owner's Club - Page 242

500+ on mem is not an issue. 600 neither.. only at 600 it decreases performance.

ctrl+f or the Curve plus commanding more voltage. Was tricky to do. I would set 13mhz jump about every other voltage point in the curve, then command more voltage. Had Heaven looping windowed and would command more voltage until I saw the jump up. Usually had crashes and the Curve map was a little wonky to use this way. Like tons of lag. My 1st attempt at OC was to just max Temp/Power and apply more and more OC to the core letting boost do it's thing. That's how I got to 2100. After that I tried the steps above for like 2 hours....lots of work for no gain at all.

My turn to add my results:
Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti FE
EKWB Titan X (Pascal) Nickel/Plexi FCWB

1911mhz stock boost
2050 mhz 1hr Unigine Heaven stable - only power limit set to 120%, without upping voltage.

I am using the STOCK FE backplate that came with the FE cooler as well. I used FE stock screws, the only screws I used from EK were the four that immediately surround the GPU. On the backplate side, I have a couple strips of 1.0mm thermal pads double stacked (so 2mm thickness to make sure the backplate looks even towards the middle where the backplate doesn't screw down.

In game play is generally silent since I don't hit 100fps at 4k smile.gif
My 1080s had no coil whine so I'm pretty irritated mad.gif

Set a frame cap with Nvidia Inspector or something and it should solve your problem. I'm guessing you don't need 100 fps in your menus smile.gif

If these OC just like the 1080's, then FE will clock the same as aftermarket. Pascal is just silicon lottery.

Thank you, without it, nothing is properly level, my OCD doesn't allow it. The support isn't visible behind the GPU cables once those are installed.

I didn't notice that.....so it's a damn good idea! Going to do that myself once I get some PETG and Hardline fittings for the next iteration of the loop.
