As I understood it the new memory on the 1080 Ti can be pushed quite a bit. Highest I tried was 700, could probably push even more but i noticed that beyond 550 I was losing points in FS so I just dialed it back and saved the extra heat/power.

Little memory/CPU OCing session playing around with a 125 strap on this board and *finally* pushed over 10K in Time Spy with the 1080Ti.

Phew.

EDIT: Strix review, sounds like it has a higher power limit. 20W more power consumption than the FE and with their OC the clocks look pegged at 2050.

Noise and aesthetic reasons. The FE won't fit my current build.

So for those of you who have slapped an AIO on their Ti, what are you running the on-card blower fan at to cool the VRMs? If I leave it at the default curve it never really spins up as the core doesn't get hot enough to trigger it. If I manually adjust it, I can get it to about 36% before I can hear it. Does that seem enough to cool the VRMs?

I put it to the minimum. I believe Nexus did some thermal imaging on the Titan Pascal and it didn't matter what speed you put it on.

But that makes sense to me. The midplate is just that, it's a plate. Without fins, it won't be releasing heat that fast since it's just a slab of metal.

Can you change the LED color on the 1080 Ti founders edition card? Or it's still stuck on green?

Would think they've put RGB by now.
