Honestly I never head about this CPU. Why it was dumped by Intel?
because it was an unintended consequence (the L4 cache and how it helps when the igpu is off and a dgpu is used) that was going to make Skylake, Kabylake, z170/270 all un-needed upgrades, worse than side grades in fact, in gaming. They buried it because the tech is too good. Also, the info is out there but people get very defensive when it's pointed out to them. Certain games it's well known. Project Cars players, for instance. There are a ton of PC players on 5775c, because it is WAY better than a Skylake/haswell in that game. Also, huge gains in rts games. And on top of all that, it overclocks from 3.3 to 4.3 easily , and does it just sipping juice compared to the other z97 cpu's. it's tdp is only 65w. Idle it uses 11w. Crazy.

You can enable SLI in most any game with Nvidia Inspector, even enable three and four way SLI with it. I just dunno how peeps are setting up high bandwidth bridges three and four way though.

So I should sell my 6950x and score one of these. thumb.giftongue.gif

Sounds good, but I think I'll stick with my 5960x at 4.742GHZ, getting nice results with it. smile.gif

4.7 at under 1.3v, you won the silicon lottery for sure!

I'd second that. FE makes a lot of sense if you are going to water-cool. If I was on air though, I'd want a quieter AIB card. Overclocking still seems to be complete silicone lottery.

Anyone else get like a 20 fps boost in The Division with dx 12? The 1080 ti is pulling over 100 fps average at 1440 p with all maxed including Nvidia hfts shadows according to the benchmark. Out maybe my CPU is just that weak now. 😛

Strange thing is this is an Intel warranty replacement for a CPU I thought was great that did 4.6GHZ at 1.312v. I fried that one.

I have 4 displays on my GTX 1080 TI: Windows 10, 378.92 Drivers (I've tired 3 driver versions with the same issue occurring)

1
2 3 4

The Nvidia drivers works and I can drive them all, 1 HDMI and 3 using DP, however when I resume from sleep the ID on the monitors change so if the above config is before I sleep on resume I might see:

2
1 4 3

Next time:

3
4 2 1

Now the primary monitor is maintained it was 3, then 4 and is now 2, but for instance Video set to start on 4 now starts on the wrong screen, or a program running on 1 is not on the wrong monitor, this gets annoying very quickly, and I do not see why it is the case or what I can do to resolve it, any suggestions? As it is driving be plain batty.

Thanks,
ERIC
