Here is my 5960x usage at 1440 /165hz game runs great and hold high consistent frames
No way 2600k would not bottleneck when my 5960x usage can look like this in BF1.

That cpu you have is a true 8 core / 16 thread processor, which means you won't run into any kind of bottlenecks in any of the new games that will come out in the foreseeable future. We are talking about mainstream cpu's like the older i7 2600k he has currently vs skylake i7 6700k or newer kabylake i7 7700k. I myself run to bottlenecks from time to time on certain maps in battlefield 1 where I see 100% utilization on all 8 cores. Same goes for games like witcher 3 or the new ghost recon.

Great Success on modifying the Shunt resistors on my end smile.gif , Max TDP now at 89%

GPU Voltage now always at 1.081 - 1.093 , but majority of the time 1.093 smile.gif

Havent played with the Core that much yet, as I am waiting on some copper shims so I can mount my Accelero Hybrid

If youre just gaming it'd be a waste of an upgrade. I'm running a stock 3770k and I see around 50% cpu usage @4k. If you have a workstation or a ton of background apps running i can see going ryzen. I can see the allure though. Ryzen is a very good budget upgrade right now. The new R5 lineup is VERY attractive, not gonna lie.

it depends on what it is that you're running at 4K with 50% cpu usage, if it's solitaire, then that's alright I guess.

But aren't you playing at 1080P@240Hz or something like that? Yeah that would definitely cause CPU bottlenecking.

I only game at 1440p 165Hz. Nothing else
