Go into Options menu, then Graphics Sub-Menu. Will get an option at that stage to do the benchmark. "B" by default in graphics subsection.

For discussion purposes only, let's say two hypothetical games (each ran on a different system) are CPU-bottlenecked and they exactly have the same load on the CPU, will both systems have the same fps if one has a 1080Ti and the other has a 1070?

It can happen. Total war Warhammer is a pretty good example I see this in within the benchmark at 1080p. My 1080 and GTX 1080Ti, get within a few FPS of one another on the same CPU and settings. Looking at the CPU usage I can see its usually pretty high and is the overall boundary on the numbers. Move out to 1440p or my normal resolution of 3440 x 1440 and I can observe the boundary moving to the GPU and the overall delta between the two cards opening up a fair bit.

3D guru actually do a pretty good article for the game and a bunch of GPUs and you can see they show pretty high CPU usage at 1080p and this reflects in FPS between some cards such as the 1080 and 1070 being fairly close with the delta opening up at 1440p and 4k. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/total_war_warhammer_directx_12_pc_graphics_performance_benchmark_review,6.html

You know that other AIB cards like MSI GAMING X and STRIX ROG are achieving 2039 to 2050 OC? Also that on custom water loops there are not many people who have achieved stable 2100?

1080 Ti Pascal has very very small OC room on anything other than LN2. Max 50mhz difference is worth that much for you?

^ water doesn't magically make it hit 2100 you can get idea of what card can do by putting fan at 100% keeping it at 60-65c

Good luck at least they don't bin my first card came from nvidia though and couldn't even do 2050. Also warranty sucks and took me almost 2 weeks after they received my item to get my refund email. Im still waiting for funds to be refunded.

Thanks for info. So to add that to my point- so far seems like max OC for your average 1080Ti is somewhere between 2020-2055. Which won't give you even 1 fps more I think tongue.gif

Even MUCH more than in 980Ti previously people should just go for looks and temps/noise. Seems like all AIBs are the same anyway.

I agree but 2050 to 2100 is yielding people an extra 10fps so looking at 20fps increase (best case scenario) with great OC 1080 ti

People like you and I running high refresh and no longer running SLI want all we can get.

I did a full benching Heaven loop on water, fans and pump at 100% at 2100, +657 memory, no driver crashes. Would power limit though and go from between 1.050v and 1.093v during the run though.

For 24/7 use i run fans at 65%,pump at 75% at 2062 core, +610 memory at 1.031v custom power curve.. Temps stay below 47C.

With no shunt mod (my card sits vertical) I get zero power limiting and my core will never dip below 2062 at 1.031v an entire Heaven run.

See how I did that here. smile.gif

Just want to throw this out there for those not happy with evga 1080 Ti hybrid kit price shenanigans seems the MSI 1080 Ti seahawk cards are out and about and will be much cheaper option that FE/hybrid kit combo.
