Yes, that's the goal. thumb.gif

So if I get zero PerfCaps at lower voltages but PerfCaps at higher voltages then what does that mean?
Hi All,
i have a asus pg384q (3440x1440, 100hz) and a single 980 ti lightning oc'd 1500/8000. The single 980ti is struggling to run games on max, dropping to 20fps.
Thinking of pulling the trigger on ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti OC. Will i get much performance gain?
Is anyone else running UWQHD on single 1080ti?

Don't focus too much on PerfCaps. It's too generic. Zero PerfCaps means to cap actually active. PerfCaps = 1 means a CAP somewhere. Taht somewhere is more important than the PerfCaps. Could be temp (not a problem on water), voltage (may be manage a bit increasing voltage) but most likely power. Identify those CAPS and try to attenuate them. That's the goal! So far i'm at 2025 GPU and + 400 mem super stable at 41-43C on water. Sometime i'll test a bit further!

So as long as the voltage and core speed is stable throughout the benchmark then I should be ok?

So I flashed the MSI bios, idle clock is now 202. rolleyes.gif

Time to start testing again. thumb.gif

The main objective is : no crash! Then having a stable core speed most of the time is a good thing. Most likely during synthetic benchmarks and sometimes in game, the core will throttle a bit because of a power or voltage limit on water. You can try to optimize it or live with it.

Have you tried it?

Just the Strix, not the Gaming X.

Same here on the Asus BIOS.

I didn't know that was out. I'll give that a try. Link?

MSI BIOS there, same method as flashing Strix BIOS.
