The perks were:
- The card would ship for free on the 3rd of April(1 day before Newegg) with 2 Day Air, mine was ground since I was in the same state biggrin.gif
- Guaranteed availability once you filled the form and they accepted it.
- Freebies that they kept a secret they were a nice surprise. I only paid for the card and got all that!
damn dude, i would have jumped all over that deal, too, but i guess not knowing the swag you took a chance, but it paid off bigtime! That's a decent mouse, nice pad, all kinds of schwag. Borat says, "veruh niiiiice".

Yeah man! It was way better than fighting for one on newegg. Some people got Mechanical Keyboards instead of teh mousepad/mouse combo. They went all out it was a nice touch all the goodies.

it probably is a bit loud but he wears headphones to game he said.

He cut the case, the metal bar between the pci-e slot connectors that partially blocks exhaust, probably blocks like 15%~ of it. He cut that and improved flow.

smart move. There's another 4-5c. Being on a hybrid mod, that thermal grizzly could make that critical delta difference around a throttle point.

I don't know why but I find this very hilarious. I have a x41 mounted inside of my FE reference. Since the pump is doing most of the work, i didn't care to use that small blower fan on the card anymore, I just kept it at 30%.

Well running the MSI Bios did push my temperatures to 50C... Putting the blower at 75% actually helped hold the card at 48C so now I'm not thermal throttling anymore... I wasn't going to do this, but I'm actually going to stick heatsinks on the midplate now so the blower can pass over them and get rid of more heat.

I'll stick heatsinks on the following areas. Literally whatever helps me stay right below 51C, stupid thermal throttle...

This isn't a picture of my card BTW.

That's what I'm hoping for! Gonna retim my cpu and gpu and see how it goes. tongue.gif

EDIT: does it REALLY make that much of a difference?! 4-5c? I'm using MX-4 right now on both. rolleyes.gif

use thermal poly pads under a 100mmx50x15 finned heatsink horizontally between the blower and the cooler . i bet that'd give you gains.

i got 8c on load over default paste on my 980ti, and got ~6 on the founder's. You may only gain a degree or two, but it should register some gain. mx4 is decent, but even the maths say it's half as goood as kyro.
