NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Owner's Club - Page 38

I was able to get the 1080ti installed to check for DOA before ripping the cooler off. Ran a quick Heaven and here are the results. Notables, 7700k @ 5.1GHz, Asus Formula IX, 3466 DDR4, and of course the 1080ti. GPU was run completely stock

Is there a way to currently test ASIC quality? I'm curious what mine is.

Tried GPU-Z.1.17.0 and it's not supported on this card.

Sorry, coming from a 980ti and haven't been involved in the scene enough recently to judge if you are sarcastic or not. Has ASIC quality gone the way of the dodo?

The asic can't be read by any device.

It didn't mean anything with 900 series on. My 980 was a high asic quality and had little OC headroom on air and water.

Dangit. Had a Gigabyte FE in my cart at Newegg and it sold before I could get it.

Interesting, my 980ti Hybrid was high asic quality and OC'ed pretty well. I definitely remember the numbers being pretty contentious back then.

I'll have my Gigabyte FE from a local store delivered within an hour, then take it home from here at work in 4.5 hours, play, see how it OCs and stuff. band.gif

This is where Universal waterblocks come in extremely handy.
Curious what a stock 1080 TI will squash a 1080 clocked at? Can a 1080 even be clocked high enough to beat a stock TI?
Do all the cards come with a backplate?
