It should be fixed in the next Nvidia Driver hopefully. And wasn't present in previous drivers I used. rolleyes.gif

I've not experienced this issue while gaming or watching videos, only when idle browsing the web or file explorer windows. Hbu?
o hthank God, i was worried about the Sammy. I havent seen it on my dp connected monitor but have on the hdmi2.0b connected uhdtv.

great, man, you won't regret. Make sure to list the Oc and voltages required that your golden cpu can hit, it'll help it sell.

Yep as I said the game is very poorly optimized, with upscaling turned off it's very hard to get a stable 60 fps, you have to turn down a few settings.

I am dual booting both 7 and 10, if Quantum Break is DX12 I will definitely see a benefit to putting that game on my secondary SSD with 10 as I have a hexacore CPU. Also, I vaguely remember you saying this was on sale for $17, is that still going?
r.

Still rocking the 8.1 without a problem, I was tempted to go to win 10, but decided not to and I did the right thing. Win 10 is just crap.
Quantum break was a dx12 title, until remedy decided to release a steam version that works under DX11 without any issues. I heard about the UWP version being gimped and ****ty and performing even worse than the steam version.

You should try it, it's no longer on sale, but steam says 36 euro right now. It's a fantastic game, shame about the optimization, very low effort was put into that particular part of the porting process.

I feel confident that the gigabyte one would've been best for my particular card, but the VRM changes they made to it didn't prove to do what I'd hopped. Kinda contemplating selling my card and getting a Gigabyte one now. Hmmm... rolleyes.gif

Thanks for testing the Aorus one. There's a lot of partner cards to come out, all with tasty BIOSes we can try. Im sure there'll be a suitable combo of outputs + VRM configuration that is well suited to flashing over a FE.

@VanuSovereignty
The Aorus gpu's are binned! I saw them bragging about Gpu Guantlet on their website on both Aorus models. Of course, with that comes the knwledge that those 'lesser' chips gotta go somewhere so the other gigabyte editions should probably be avoided, which is probably why they call binning "gpu gauntlet" so nubz wont realize the other side of it on their other products. Like, "Hey we bin so our regular models are guaranteed to be booty".

Also, Aorus have a 4 year warranty. Not that I'll be running it four years but it's destined to be a hand me down someday ( I have three teens, 2 boys and a girl who are all gamers) so I appreciate the 4 year warranty. That is extreme!

just got logged by the admin on Aorus facebook page for the swag bag part 2. Instructions are 2 or 3 pages back (or on the facebook page). I seriously doubt I'll get hooked up as much as you. I'm probably destined for a lanyard and wristband lol. It's all good, though. I am due for a winner in the silicon lottery. My 1st 980ti hybrid was good (1500mhz)but i had a replacement after i had to rma b/c of the cooler failing was booty. I then got a decent but not golden 5775c (although even bad 5775c's are crazy good), a poor 1070 that i 'borrowed' from best buy for a week waiting on my 1080ti, which then that was also was pretty much booty. I havent had a straight lottery winner since i bought my 4690k that hit 4.6 and that was before my 4790k (4.8). I am due for a golden sample and these things are binned. Come on, Silicon Goddess!

WDDM2.0 was pretty significant in itself, I think Creators Update is about to push that to WDDM2.2.

But hey, I remember people raging against Windows 95 and the loss of booting to DOS. Fight the power!
