yeah, on water the golden chips hit that. on air if you keep 2000+ you are very good.

Im hitting 2.0GHz max boost on just maxing the Power to 125%. Running about 72c with 58% fan speed biggrin.gif

Which 1080 Ti card you have and Afterburner does higher than 120% boost with it? Or you use Precision X or something?

Aorus 1080 Ti 11G used Afterburner to set it to 125%. I'm pretty sure it was 125%, but I'll double check and get back to you after I get home.

So, they may all clock the same, but Aorus is King (for now) in power limit and is the quietest. Almost the coolest. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Gigabyte/GTX_1080_Ti_Xtreme_Gaming/34.html

You should have no problems with AIBs. You can check all so far reviews and that is basicelly guarantee. All AIBs boost without OC to almost 2000 anyway. 2050-60 is definitely ok in 98% of AIBs.

Also, everyone, now we have reviews of ROG STRIX, MSI GAMING X and AORUS XTREME EDITION.

All are the same. Same OC max, same Temps range (69 ROG, 71 Xtreme, 72 MSI) on load, same quite performance (33-39 range of all three).

Just go for the looks people. There is NO DIFFERENCE smile.gif

Can you:

nvflash_5.353.0.zip 3031k .zip file

Unzip NVFlash to a folder.

Disable your video card in Control Panel in Device Manager.

Run an admin command prompt and cd to the folder you made.

Do in command prompt:

nvflash64 --save filename.rom

And zip the file with winrar add your BIOS as an attachment here? Or someone with an Aorus?

I'd like to test it. smile.gif

Yes, but:
1. Power Limit will not give you anything. 2100 is still a hard cap that so far is not stable even with custom voltage curves. This is architecture limitation sadly.

As you saw in review, despite higher power limit- Aorus boosted 6mhz higher than ROG Strix and OC limit was still the same- 2050 stable.
2. Aorus is so far the quitest, but ROG is the coolest.

As I said- no difference. Just go for looks. There are no "golden chips" on Pascals, simillar to 7700k (at least not that golden as we have in older hardware). Not much OC room in new generations of hardware smile.gif
