Nice!

Is OC'ing the memory worth it? I upgraded from a 780 I don't know much about newer cards getting up to date as we speak.

Yes, it is since all AIBs have memory NOT OCed (which is always written down in reviews as downside). So OCing it is imo necessary to get max from it.

Here is a full comparsion of so far all top 3 AIBs reviewed.

As you see, there is no reason to not choose your card based only on looks or your brand preferences

I question techpowerup's overclock method. They bench with battlefield 3 for gods sake. Also looks like they are recording max clock speed and not clock speed after 10-20 minutes of gaming/benching.

Dat 150% power limit....
i think the msi is a 3dp 1hdmi like founders. aorus has 3 dp and 2 hdmi and a dvi so im not sure.

Edit : @alucardis666 maybe watch this first. power phases are done differently , quaduplers and whatnot. Im no engineer, but I think this will be very similar to the pcb on the aorus which is what your bios would be using.

haha f it why not! ive spent more time messing with these cards then playing games,

Here's hoping. thumb.gif

Of course, with that comes the knwledge that those 'lesser' chips gotta go somewhere so the other gigabyte editions should probably be avoided, which is probably why they call binning "gpu gauntlet" so nubz wont realize the other side of it on their other products. Like, "Hey we bin so our regular models are guaranteed to be booty".

Also, Aorus have a 4 year warranty. Not that I'll be running it four years but it's destined to be a hand me down someday ( I have three teens, 2 boys and a girl who are all gamers) so I appreciate the 4 year warranty. That is extreme!

It does sound like a very nice card, that's for sure. thumb.gif

Unzip NVFlash to a folder.

Disable your video card in Control Panel in Device Manager.

Run an admin command prompt and cd to the folder you made.

Do in command prompt:

nvflash64 --save filename.rom

And zip the file with winrar add your BIOS as an attachment here? Or someone with an Aorus?

I'd like to test it. smile.gif

You should have no problems with AIBs. You can check all so far reviews and that is basicelly guarantee. All AIBs boost without OC to almost 2000 anyway. 2050-60 is definitely ok in 98% of AIBs.

Also, everyone, now we have reviews of ROG STRIX, MSI GAMING X and AORUS XTREME EDITION.

All are the same. Same OC max, same Temps range (69 ROG, 71 Xtreme, 72 MSI) on load, same quite performance (33-39 range of all three).

Just go for the looks people. There is NO DIFFERENCE smile.gif
looks AND price.
Yeah, i was wrong in my understanding of gpu gauntlet so thanks.

yeah, man, I got you but I think the power phases are way different. Basically the controller runs lower watts(amps, whatever)but quadruples the current through the 12+2 phases while switching frequency is super high and basically it works like a very undervolted card on the FE. At least on the alucardis666 's card it did. Can't do it until tomorrow when mine arrives if one of the others hasnt done it yet.
