BF1 is a really sloppy way to benchmark though as a given location in a given map behaves very differently, but map-to-map typical play shows a noticeable bump in frame rates and lower temps for me so far.
heaven is weird, it never showed me my clocks for maxwell or pascal. I'd never trust it. GPU-Z and msi afterbuner graphs agree with one another.

Heaven has always been off with clocks shown. Just go by AB and pay no attention to what Heaven says.

Also, what difference do most FE's have? Why are there FE'smade by AIB partners?

EVGA requires registration for warranty, so I don't think so.

Yeah for that reason, my Ti is definitely going back now and a TXp (I guess that's how I signify it now) is on its way. I mean it's that or I'm back to going SLI every time redface.gif.

One thing about this MSI Gaming X card - fans shutting off on the desktop is a gimmick and pointless. Card runs at 48-52C idling on the desktop, probably because it occasionally spikes to 1500mhz for GPU accelerated browsing. Setting the fan to 30% when below 45C results in still deadly silent operation (I cant tell the difference between fans off and 30%). Also results in idle temps of 30C, a 20C drop...

Does it really matter, by stopping them you save the grind on the fans and extend their life.

48-52C is so low anyways, temp that actually don't burn your skin should be completely safe for the gpu.

Or why are you bent on keeping 30C temp at the expense of fan life?

OCD? lol.

By the time the fan dies from running at 30% I hope to be on a GTX 1380 lol.

That's odd, other users on reddit have lower idles I think. Good excuse for a re-tim biggrin.gif

I'm running 165hz on my monitor. It causes the GPU to not always downclock to desktop speeds.
