Then your card will use more voltage to keep those clocks and you're either back to where you were or even worse performance.

That's why the Asus bios doesn't work well for many people.

If you're under 40C then more power will help. But being under 40C is kind of hard.

If you're at 45C and then you draw 30 more watts it can push you to 49-51C and cause the card to start thermal throttling.

Alright, so it's seems to be a bit of a gamble, since I won't really know my load temperatures beforehand. I was undecided between going SLI FE on water now (the EK Founders blocks will ship very soon) or wait for the Aorus Extreme, for which the blocks won't be out for another month. In that case, I guess it's better two just stick with two FE's. Probably going to be enough for 4k@60 for most games no matter the oc.

But in no way i am going to spend the Titan price... If it was 1.000€ i would say **** it and go for it, but not one € more...

They are saying 8%, but imo with the oc we are looking at much more.
Will wait for the benchmark and see from there

I'm assuming that my Titan X Pascal waterblock would theoretically fit this Titan X Pascal squared card? 😛

Hi guys just got my strix 1080 ti been having a little fun with it simply amazing so far.....
Just a quick question voltage curve I am using MSI AB 4.3.0 I cannot find it in AB I seen plenty of screen shot of it. what am I missing?

any way I got a solid 2050Mhz core and maxing 43°C so got a little head room for OC

just a little pic of my ugly universal blocks but in saying that I had my card in and running under water within 1 hour of receiving it. smile.gif

I know I got to do something about those ugly industrial brass elbows at least paint them black

Here's how you get voltage control.

I dont think we need benchmarks, there will be no surprises. The full GP120 has 8% more Cuda cores and a 8% wider memory interface than the 1080Ti. The OC headroom of the GPU and the memory will be the same, so you will have to compare both cards at same clocks. The Titan Xp2017 at 2000/6000 will be 8% faster than a 1080Ti at 2000/6000, if the application scales well and there are no other bottlenecks. So expect the 8% performance increase the theoretical maximum, in some cases it is going to be less.

I am talking about two OCed cards with the same cooler here, so both at the same water- or aircooler.

If you compare the Titan XP2017 at stock settings to a good CUSTOM 1080Ti with a better cooler and higher power target at stock settings the performance will be even, or maybe even a tiny bit better on the custom 1080Ti.
