Someone had posted this earlier in the thread:

https://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/nvidia/gtx1080ti/

That's how I was able to snag one. They keep going in and out of stock.

more or less. games with the in game slider for rez work better (ie BF1)

Guess I'll have to change that.
Out of the box stock settings seeing a top boost of 1866 core. A couple of nudges of conventional core caps out at 1936 with drop in bench score above that. 1.05v is top of what I've seen on ambient air.
Time for some a/c action and 3D11 Performance runs.

3d11 -5960x - 1080ti -

Agree with earlier post 2012 seems to be sweet spot on curve.

Anybody opened her up and applied better thermal paste? On my 980ti that gave me -10c under load.

If anybody tries it, this is the MUCH easier way. some idiots take the whole pcb off. (8 screws or 28, you choose tongue.gif )

Are you saying that from experience or guessing? From what I can see....you choose the game on geforce experience, then they give you a code to redeem on uplay/origin or whatever it uses.

you're right. they changed it last promo to this new method because of people reselling all the codes i think. or piracy (g2a and greenman gaming, etc). at any rate, you are correct.

Wow... Wildlands performance at 4k is a crapshoot. even on the low preset I can't maintain a steady 60fps, at 1440p I need to set it to medium in order to get a playable 60fps *Minimum dips down to high 40's*

I smell some shady things going on with driver *optimizations* and Nvidia paying Ubisoft to gimp performance on everything but a 1080ti... Will be interesting to see how it runs at 4k on ultra with the Ti when I get it.

It's Ubisoft. What did you expect?

I stopped buying Ubisoft games years ago, and performance was a significant contributing factor.
