hopefully not just sitting on your porch :/

yeah, man, you were supposed to be keeping up with the tech news. Don't you know Titan XP3.0 released yesterday biggrin.gif but seriously, i bet you get a good resale out of your 1080s over there.

That's going to be a beastly SLI setup! You running a 4k monitor? That's A LOT of power at your fingertips! I'm running a 1440p 144hz G-Sync monitor so I could use the extra FPS.

oh I understand what you mean there but I mean in game, I also use digital brightness and use nvidia settings for desktop color scheme but I and a friend of mine noticed it in games.

so with that said I wanted to use DDU to do a clean driver install but for some reason it won't start since the update, I click on it and I get the "let this program make changes to your pc" hit yes and then nothing happens

I do have a 4k Monitor but I do not like 60Hz. I have an AOC Agon 27inch 165Hz G-sync.

Just use the fresh install option rig the nvidia driver. Does practically the same thing.

Oh so you are using a 1440p monitor for gaming? I also can't go back to 60hz. It just feels so terrible and choppy when you get used to playing at high framerates. I remember my first day with the monitor it was weird because everything was TOO smooth. I'm using the Acer XB270HU. I got it off someone on here for $250. The thing is mint with one dead pixel. Love it.

2100 stable, is doable in "Heaven/Valley @ 1080p & 1440p" and "firestrike @ 1080p" tests under water.
e.g. Heaven @1440p:

This is on stock bios. I'll probably try some of the other bioses this weekend.
By the way, I get driver crash as soon as I move to the next bin up (2114), in the first few seconds of all the benchmarks I tried.
Looks like 2100 on the core is the limit of my card.

I'm pretty sure as more people get their cards under full water loops we'll see more examples like this.
@KedarWolf or, anyone else who wants to chime in, if I could only try one* bios, which one would you recommend?
Card is an EVGA 1080ti FE, though I don't think it matters, right?

* Release of the card could not come at a worse time for me as April-May & October-November are really busy at work as we prepare our two major product releases. I'm lucky if I can spare like 5-6 hours per week for "hobbies" and that is usually on the weekends.

I tried the MSI gaming X, had a bit of throttling, pretty much the same as stock FE BIOS.

The Gigabyte BIOS was clocks all over the place, 500, 800, 1000, never worked right at all. People said the same about the Aorus BIOS as the Gigabyte.

The Strix BIOS I get sustained 2100 at 1.075v, best one so far. smile.gif

2152 maybe ok at 1.081, past once but starts power capping and does take a few dips, 1.093 takes power dips too so next step would be better bios.

benchmark is from the last big dip on clock about mid graph, and did pass ok but does dip with power limit, successive runs crashed.

seems to clock up pretty smoothly so far but maybe reaching the wall,

2101 1.043
2114 1.050
2126 1.062
2139 1.075...

one voltage bin per clock bin seems to be required at the moment

Still to play with memory, but that ain't going to help the power situation so will try that next.
dang, dude, that's a DIAMOND gpu. Very rare. It must have been cut from the very center of the die. It's like the heart of a watermelon!

it makes sense. It is closest to the FE at pcb level and is just a bit more power phases running similar currents so, in other words, the same thing but a bit more aggressive. The Aorus pcb is very different and favors lower volts. If this dude was under water it'd hold 2062+ at 1.05v.
