I had the 1080 Seahawk EK previously. It was an awesome card. I'm sure that the ti models will be up there in quality. Not a lick of coil whine from it either. I might have gone the Seahawk EK ti route this time if they had been available.
The Aorus Extreme hybrid will be a beast.

SAD news - my STRIX ROG 1080Ti got delayed frown.gif Won't have it till maybe next week....

Well, I don't have CPU right now so no big deal...but sad anyway.

Before you re-tim test your card out first.

And yes you have to spread because this is an exposed die. A cpu isn't exposed, it has a heat spreader. Look at a de-lid video, when you remove the heat spreader, that is the actual cpu bare die.

Here's the best I can do with FE BIOS at 2062 core,2 6132 memory.

Also will post my time spy. I was at 11232 without volt unlock. Have to rerun. Will also post higher Cat.

For whatever reason running above 2114 Mhz is counterproductive for me. I believe you need more memory to be able to do so and the max my card can do stable is 475 on memory.

Are your results at 2138 actually better or worse than bins ahead?
Do you have any heaven runs and GPU-Z graphs running at 2138?

I had taken the back plate off my FE since it's useless and had a nice amount of airflow over the back side of the GPU to help a bit with cooling. Was going to bring the card back in today to trade for an Aorus, so I had to put the back plate back on obviously. As I was putting the last screw back in, my dog bumped my leg and caused me to start the screw slightly cross threaded. As soon as I noticed I backed off and started over, but the damage was done. Tried working it back but to no avail. Screw sheared off close to the head.. Looks like I'm stuck with my FE. What are the best AIO CPU coolers that I can mount to this thing? Don't really feel like paying $~220 CAD for the EVGA if I can avoid that. Don't care about looks, just best cooling performance. That, along with a shunt mod, should be enough to keep me happy.

Anyone know where I can buy a replacement standoff and screw?

Buy yourself a aio like a h75, kraken g10, thermal pads, heatsink and gd thermal paste, i just did biggrin.gif

I doubt anyone would be able to without alternate cooling. FE gets really hot with the reference cooler.

Even on water I can't get there. I do have one card that requires substantially more voltage than the other in the same loop, but I'm not alone in finding the TI doesn't clock as well as the 1080. Not too surprising given the additional computes and memory.
