In your case maybe i could say that, i didnt even know anyone that had a 1080ti that could not do at least 2000mhz, but comparing apples to apples, a 1080ti 2Ghz to a Titan Xp 2Ghz will not redefine the gaming experience.

I think that goes back to how OCD you are. A game needs to hit a minimum 48FPS for it to feel fluid to me. I'm playing on a 4k TV so no gsync or anything like that and the fluidity with the OC'd Titan does feel significant to me over the Ti it replaced.

Yeah, I'm not paying $500 more money for an extra GB of memory and 5-10% more performance. That would be like Intel charging almost double the price for the 7700K over the 6700K. The Ti in my opinion was worth it being 30% faster than the 1080.

Those 780ti's were sweet cards. But yes, its time.

see, my 20% off the top off my head rounded math is pretty damn accurate.

Im in the same situation since i game on my KS7000, even though my ocd levels are moderate i cannot see the value proposition moving 500$ for 10% performance, but im not criticising you or anyone how thinks its worth it.

I would probably consider sli first before moving to the Titan Xp but SLI is an hit or miss so i will probably wait for the next GPU that offers at least 25% more performance.

i think they are going to try it! And probably transition that to on die optane.... omg

these here are just laptop and imbedded ones but i bet it'll come to the bigdogs eventually now that intel has to at least try to innovate again.

I've been burned 2x with SLi so I am a firm believer in buying the best you can afford until the next gen. I'll probably keep this card till Volta TI or the next fully unlocked Titan and get one of those. thumb.gif

same boat, im on js9000 and i feel ya'll. But in alucardis' case, 1) he had the money 2) he was not happy with his Ti and was already plotting his next move on that front when titan dropped so i'm just glad he happy, but i also will be keeping my Aorus!
