You see, the strix will hit 1.050 or wherever you set it. But as you game it will increase that voltage to the max available to avoid voltage limiting.

Again the strix thinks it has 350 watts, but you're running an fe without a shunt mod.

The FE cannot do 1.092V at those clocks without hitting power limits.

That's strange. When I run Heaven and let it loop then it reaches 2088 at 1.093v and GPU-Z shows UTIL in PerfCap reason. My power target usually doesn't go above 110%, while gaming it's around 97% most of the time. I haven't tried any other games other than GR Wildlands though.

Look in my images, I have comparison runs of the stock at 2088 Mhz 1.042-1.050v and it runs better than strix at 2088 Mhz.

Edit: http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/3001077/

Left is Asus, right is stock.

I did mess with the Asus one later and got it up to 2575, but also my latest stock runs have been 2600.

Feel free to run the same heaven settings and compare them to. Mine.

I'm going to do one more test with the Asus tonight. I'm going to not add any voltage at all, and run it at 2088 and see if that avoids the bios pushing 1.093V

I am amazed at people thinking that 2076 core is going to be a ton faster than 2038Mhz core, even benchmarks it is barely noticeable let alone in game performance
performance scaling per Mhz go down dramatically when pushing the last drop of MHz and it is putting a ton of extra load for less that 1% FPS gain that's how I burnt out 2 GTX 580s squeezing that last drop out of them.
My strix boosted to 1976Mhz straight out of the box with water and managed to get running game stable 2038-2050 Mhz with a small OC

Does it happen with an older driver version? Can you install say the prior driver to this one and then install the latest over top?

From 1950-2038Mhz i barely even notice any deference in fps (maybe 5fps at mos?) when playing games like DOTA2 and CSGO. Beyond 2000Mhz supposedly if users can maintain <45C, the fps difference will be at MOST 2-5fps.
But yet again, those sweet sweet, epeen points man.

agreed. I've settled in at 2050@ 1.04v for long gaming sessions.

When using a voltage curve i have notice that you are limited to 100% power target. Raising the slider to 120% with voltage curve set does nothing. i get power limited @ 100% Anyone else noticing this?
