JESUS CHRIST, i noticed i forgot to set my vcore back to 1.328V from 1.48V (for 4.8Ghz), and accidentally:o set it to 1.38V.frown.gif
how long you been running like that? for the most part it would be lowered a bit automatically and is safe, but dang. You could have been running at 4.7 all that time.

Anyone have issues with coil whine on their FE cards? Found an EVGA FE in stock but have horrible coil whine from my 980 reference card that I'd like to avoid this go around.

2 days or so lol.
But under water it barely goes over 65C with anything lower than 1.4V. (non AVX) , and my Widnows Profile is always set to high performance, it never drops tongue.gif
Plus i have 4 x 140mm Noctua 3000rpm fans on the 280mm rad, keeps this puppy super quite. Come month end, and im getting a 6950X + a water Chiller.

Anyways, this is a shunt mod video with Witcher 3. Power draw doesn't go above 80% in most cases. The guy runs at 1.094V too with 2114 Mhz.

The shunt mod is just where it is. Risky, but rewards are risky.

First thing ill try now is to manually edit the BIOS and flash it on using a programmer.

Will let you guys know how it goes tonight or tomorrow night.

This would be interesting. We know the card can temporarily go past 300 watts on its own. Would be nice if it was simple as unlocking that limit and letting it draw up to 350 watts. It would be a true shunt mod replacement.

Your mileage will vary based on silicon leakiness.

Not that I need it now that I'm on a Stellaris binge...
Hilarious! That's like my buddy who has two Titan X(2016) and all he plays is LoL. And he plays it on a 1080p TV (60Hz of course) with uncapped framerates and always says stuff like, "dang. Im getting 700 FPS!!" Long time real life friend and I 've educated him but still he doesn't change. Too funny. My reply is usually something like, "Now if they only made 1Mhz 1080p tv's, you'd be in Heaven!"

lol, dang, that's going to be nasty. I've seen nothing but amazing results from folks using chilled water.

I love noctua F-12s that i have on mine, and the other 2 I have in my case , i as intake, one pointed directly at the gpu blowing towards the exhast, half blowing below the card, half of it directly across the backplate and that copper towards the exhaust. It helped! Noctua F-12 are beast.
