I have been reading this thread from the start and want to thank all you crazy overclockers always trying push it a bit more no matter what happens. This thread has been a really great read THANKS!
Well with that out the way I would like to say that I finally after years of trying I hit the lottery… GPU lottery that is wish it was a real one lol. I got a MSI 1080 TI Gaming X and boy is she a keeper. I can bench at 2126MHz Core @ 1080Mv using curve overclocking any higher and it crashes. Memory so far been able to hit 6003Mhz. I can run it with lower voltage but I get VREL in GPU-Z.
I have been doing a bunch of benching these last 2 days testing and making sure my clocks are performing correctly and not just giving worst performance. I can say that these clock are producing higher number than lower clocks in benches so I know they are good. Only issue I have is I am hitting my power limits causing it to lower down to 2088Mhz to 2100Mhz for a bit at a few spots throughout the benchmarks. Then it recovers back to 2126Mhz. I know this as I saw it listed in my GPU-Z log file. It is only Power my voltage and temps are good.
I removed the heatsink while keeping the midplate to cool the memory on it and mounted my NZXT G10 + x41 with Push/Pull fans. My idle temps are 22c to 25c depending on my ambient temps and the max temps I seen benching is 41c. These clock are benching clocks as I am 99% sure they would cash in a game eventually and I do not want to run this card at 1080Mv all the time.
Here is my latest run on the new superposition benchmark. This is the highest I have been able to hit so far still pushing.
