In most cases that's even slower than your framerate, so it takes anywhere from 1-10 frames for it to figure out that you've exceeded the power cap and then take action to reduce clocks, frequency, power gate (turn off) functional units temporarily, or do whatever it does to keep you below the limit.

Because of this there will always be situations where you 'peak' well above the limit, and this is to be expected. It will try to keep the average < 300w though.

Yeah I did this last night with the ASUS bios and Stock Bios and for the stock it was 305 Watts and the Asus was 310 Watts.

Left is what I game at. Right is for the benchmark (scores around 10280 - 10290 on superposition)

My card is a pretty good bin, it can run 2088@1.043V

2088@1.043V on heaven i score 2595 at 1440P benchmark.

I don't know if I got a bad card or what?

I keep crashing even at 1987 @ 1.093V frown.gif

I'm only stable at 1974

It would not have worked, the plate of the stock cooler interfered with the aio coldplate. I am aware that you can do this with the EVGA cooler, the only reason I got this is because I got it on sale for £65.

That's a good deal!

I bought a nzxt x41 for $65 refurbished and just slapped it into the FE.

Play with voltage curves more, and if you have an FE, don't just shoot for 1.093V, that will get you closer to power limiting. Go read Kedarwolf's guide.

They were rock solid, I never saw them change at all. Everything was perfectly static, including the voltage, it was sitting at 1.093v the whole time.

Mine is a MSI gaming X.

I don't know how you guys can hit 2000 @ 1.025V

Hey does yours lock up the demo? If i run timespy demo, it locks up midway, does it mean my OC is at the limit?

Im on FE and it just barely go past 2ghz before it lock up.

I am afraid i got the worst luck in GPU lottery again.

I'm sorry man, it's just the silicon lottery. What temperatures is you card running at? Try to get it as cool as possible, you get a 13 Mhz boost for every 10C lower starting at 80C.

So if you're at 72 and you can get to 68 then you'll get another bump of 13 Mhz.
