Once again late to the party.
My first attempt to oc using the curve (If no PL is hit this gives 2126core - 12265mem @ 1.081V), and a new benchmark is out.

CPU is a 4790k@4.7Mhz - DDR3 RAM@2400Mhz.
GPU is EVGA 1080Ti FE with EK-FC Titan X Pascal - Acetal+Nickel waterblock
Using the latest GeForce driver (381.65 WHQL).
There are 3*240 rads and a D5 pump in a Core V21 case - all running @100% for the benches.
The room temperature is 21-22 C.

Here are my runs:
1080p Extreme

4K Optimized

8K Optimised

sick, Lefty. I can almost keep up with you but your superior cooling solution definitely puts you in a boss position

I can probably get the score a little higher playing with the voltage curve.

Update to latest river tuner sometime AB doesn't update RT properly

However when I set card up to 2088 so it will downclock to 2076 it crashes often at 2088 before it can downclock itself to 2076 where it can stay stable.

How Can I make this card STAY at this 2076? Any ideas?

Get water cooling or put you pc in a commercial freezer

I put that game to the side planning on playing with max eye candy now with my UC99-38w 3840x1600p using max settings and SMAAx2 I get a playable 45-50 FPS smile.gif loving it

@fezenz I saw that video where dude was OC ryzen in a deep freeze and he did get a 1700 plain to 4150 mhz i think which is pretty gnarly , inside that deep freezer. I think the deep freezer filled with dry iCE AND NOT PLUGGED IN WOULD HAVE YiELDED MUCH SAFER AND BETTER RESULTS, THOUGH.

I'm all waiting but the thing is that I will be going custom water cooling next month with a new case and I would want to use the new platform (CPU, mobo, ram) already rather than using the old system, installing the water cooling loop, and then doing the same process all over again when a new CPU comes out.

Then you got a reason to upgrade go for it smile.gif

I think so, lol. It needed more than "SP" and "Superposition" is a mouthful. So , SuPo it is.

Agreed, and apparently i am in the minority on this (lol, I'm shocked) but I think the 7740k will be a nice chip. It could clock over 5.5ghz with that extra power headroom and process improvements should net at least a 4770k vs Devil's Canyon situation, and that isn't really even accounting for the increased overclock headroom more power and a way better platform will bring. I am unsure how they will TIM the thing but if it is like all the other HEDT than it will crush a 7700k so to speak (and even if it's craptastic reggie TIM like a 7700k, a delid would do the trick), as well as leaving several future upgrade paths. If I were building now I'd wait, and try to save as much dough as I could in case I decided to go Skylake-X, which will be nasty, too.

But even if I'm trippin, who knows how long z270 will be viable. There won't be a process shrink with ingenuitive caches coming as a magic life extender to z270 like z97 got with the Broadwell late cycle, that I can guarantee. Not that it will become crap overnight or anything, it's a great platform but we are talking about a fresh build scenario with two processor lines and a new platform about to drop. My advice is wait, unless you have a z97 platform, and then you'd be CRAZY to not sell that 4690k/4790k and grab a 5775c.
