so, the gpu isnt full bore because it is able to do all required of it without ramping up, hence utilized. Or something like that. At any rate, nothing that requires tweaking to remove it.

I wonder if my PCI-E 2.0 bus may be limiting my 1080 Ti??
It is limiting you a little bit, but it isn't as much as you'd think. Something well less than 10%, iirc it was something like 4%.

Superposition at 1080P Extreme Asus BIOS 2088 1.062v doesn't throttle at all entire run.

1080PExtreme2088_1062mv.txt 42k .txt file

Can someone run 1080P Extreme on stock BIOS with GPU-Z logging? wink.gif

But, I am a bit tempted by skylake-x myself. Looks sexy, and I've been wanting a 8 core, too. In the future with scorpio being the lead game developer platform 8-cores should scale in every game and then my cache magic no longer wins the day.
Maybe in the US man. Where I live it's more like 160-180 USD. I know cause I checked last week.
Anyway got to get some sleep. I'm supposed to get up to go to work in 5 hours.

my Gigabyte FE seems like a power hog, I have a 2012MHz OC dialled in at 1.043V via the curve, but in FS Extreme/Ultra and SuPo 4k+ it hits the power limit hard and downclocks to anywhere between 1980-1930 with the voltage dropping below 1.000V to keep it under 120%.
I wonder if I should take it apart and connect the pump to the mobo/psu rather than the card itself to save some power thinking.gif I just don't feel like dismantling it anymore, for the 6th time now doh.gif
yeah, my clocks are very solid on this Aorus as I don't hit the power limiter. Aorus is even advertizing these as the only "4k/60 capable gpu's with a 375w power limit", which means they know exactly what they are doing lol. I run the 1st two scenes at 2088 then hit 40c (tops at 47c) and clocks go to 2076 thru the end of the run.

well, whatever the cost, minus resell on what the world thinks is the best i-7 on a z97 (4790k) , is the total upgrade cost as everything else is unchanged. But you would get every dollar you spent on the 5775c back on resale I bet. It'll hold all it's value, fwtw.
g/n, bro.

I don't want to void warranty. There is a warranty sticker from what I have heard in Asus card that if you damage you void warranty.
