It's the power draw due to the complexity of the scene, which is what makes it a fairly good test for these cards. You'll want to invest some time in tweaking your voltage curve to maximise scores.

The 8K scene brings my card to its knees, will barely hold 2000Mhz. Heaven will pass at 2075 and even 2100.

Heaven is a relatively light load on the GPU compared to supo.

But what I can tweak more in curve? frown.gif I already know my card max stable is 2076 and I need 1.093/1.081 V for that. What else I can set in curve.

Should I try to lock it for SUP bench?

More meat in the curve. It's gonna hit the power limit and it's gonna move to a lower voltage bin; so the trick is to have the lower voltage bins at the highest core speed they can handle.

Once you've achieved that the only thing that's going to improve performance is a shunt mod to lift the TDP limit restriction.

So has anyone ziptied an AIO onto a founders edition yet? I have an old Antec 620 lying around and I've done 'the mod' in the past to various GPUs. It seems that a shim is required to do so whilst keeping the shroud attached. Does anyone know what size is ideal, and have there been any success stories?

Thanks.

I'm just not feeling the $159 price tag for the Hybrid kit when I have an AIO sitting right behind me that I can ziptie onto the card. I could care less how it looks, as I simply want more performance.

BRO! What I've been telling you the last two days. Heaven bench doesnt push your power limit so why even tune with it? Do a 4k optimized SuPo run and then you'll see the nature of the power throttle. But, I will say that I can start at 2088, clock down to 2076, then it volts down again but still 2076, and holds thru until the end. So, it doesn't require much tweaking.

yeah, man, it should work. you'll want a 40mm x 40mm x 1.5mm shim (or 45x45x1.5) and some thermal grizzly kyro.

Clocks were jumping from 2030-2076.

i7 5775C Overclock to 4.3 Ghz.

Weak score imo. Something is off... 4K Performance.

Looks like you had a stutter in that run with the 20FPS minimum. My gaming-stable OC, which is 2025-2037 for the 4K optimized run, was min 60.15/avg 75.58/max 98.54 for score of 10105.

Little better socre. Put all bins in curve to higher clocks:

What could cause stutter?

Do you guys bench with G-Sync on? I have it off.

Anything. e.g. Background task interrupting the benchmark.

10k+ looks like everything running pretty well.
