If you want to keep it really simple, pop in the card, install the drivers and MSI afterburner, and crank the power limit up to 125% and the fans to 100%. At 100% the fans are barely louder than my TWO D5 pumps. You will most likely be boosting to 2000Mhz if you do that. Can't wait to get a waterblock on it.

Thanks for the info mate. I'll just order it right now. I'll even join your club when I get it wink.gif Also running at 1440p/144hz, so this will be a perfect card to keep up to speed. Not to forget; keeping my Oculus at 90 fps, which honestly isnt all that easy with my 980 ti. Cheers!

Edit: I HATE using forums on my ipad!

I don't even have here normal Aorus, so I can wait extra for Xtreme tongue.gif.

Wasn't AORUS 150% power Limit? Or it is also 125%?

Anyone hear any rumors on price/release date for the Asus 1080 Ti Poseidon? I need to sell my FE's before pre-order time comes!

Wow your power limiting hard at 112% on the Asus, were Kedarwolf was getting 119%. Maybe it is a case of limiting on a different rail early where Kedarwolf can pull a bit more power somehow. Probably the only way to see would be for Kedar to run benchmarks with graphs to show what % power he starts to get the green power limit warning on GPU-Z.

yep, do exactly that and then try +25, +50, +75, +100. You may get another step up. When you finally crash, back off 13Mhz. gold. I crash at +100, but can hold +90 .

Nah, I want that sexy backplate with big RGB eagle tongue.gif. I can wait for Xtreme. And better chance for better chip.

I don't have anything to play on PC anyway smile.gif

That was another reason I chose the regular Aorus when I bought it on launch day. I'm going to be putting this card under water the day that EK releases the block and backplate for it so I have no use for fancy backplates or lighting.

That's odd, no one can do 119% constantly on the Asus bios. Max is usually 111% or 112% for small periods.

Yeah, what happens when you run the Asus bios? I've already ran test on my computer and measured power recently with the nvidia command and my PSU itself.

Stock Max was 305 and Asus was 310ish.

Kedar might get some extra power because he doesn't have to run the blower or isn't powering the led. He's on a full water block. But I have no clue how he's doing 119% on the Asus bios when we're all floating around 108% unless if he's running stock BIOS and forgot he didn't flash back.

Bloodhawk had some similar measurements to me too.

I have a good PSU so I don't think it's my PSU. Rm1000i.

Has anyone tried using the new titan xp bios on the 1080ti???
Wondering if the power limit is higher, or more efficient.

Aorus regular is 125 and Xtreme is 150, but both are 375w limit because the regular defaults at 300.
