Today disassembled the card and it looked burned on the back, attaching picture
The saddest thing is it was connected via DVI port and took my good old precious 30" 2560х1600 IPS Apple cinema HD monitor with it mad.gif

Dang, weren't you the one with the crazy core clocks at very high voltages? That didn't have anything to do with it did it?

Why have we not thought about testing the inno 3d 1080 Ti bios?

It has a reference design but pushes 50 more watts!

This might be the key to our power limiting issues!

http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/103423-inno3d-ichill-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-x3/?page=12
And the version tested had no DVI-D, would be nice to snag the bios from that one, as the review stated Inno 3D will be including a DVI-D port on the retail units.

Nonetheless, a good idea, certainly worth testing this bios for those of us with an FE card.

If the "very high voltages" are the maximum allowed by the BIOS 1.093v yes it was me...just for benching. Yesterday played at 1.043v actually this corresponds to less than 300w from the max allowed 330w...the components are defective...the bad thing is the monitor died also and 100% next card won't OC that well for sure...redface.gif

That's very odd the monitor died also... Can you RMA the monitor? If not, hopefully the dp port is a separate board and you can just replace that.

Would be great if this is true, as that's the default FE bios with Nvidia id. Lets hope that it was a modified version and the retails keeps the same power limit smile.gif

Question for those who game at 4K.

Can anyone maintain 2ghz clock playing Mass Effect Andromeda and Witcher at 4K maxed out wihtout throttling because of the power limit? I cannot sustaing 2ghz, sometimes it will go even to 1.9 on more demanding scenes in Mass Effect, always getting power throttling.
