perf cap means what is capping your performance, so , heat exceeded or voltage needed or power limit reached, or all of the above. There is always going to be something limiting your performance, be it voltrel(blue) meaning :i needed more volts", well if the answer is "sorry, bro, no more volts" than that's an acceptable color in that scenario, right? Util is best, i guess, because that's full utilization. I'm self-taught in all this as well and it is confusing to decifer it all at times, no doubt.

Blank is best, where there's nothing. But you're right, blue is okay as we're locked on voltage unless if we hardware mod the cards.

But blank is ideal.

Can you understand why this is happening?

I'm sorry, me electrical engineering knowledge is actually pretty limited. But it just sounds like your card likes a higher clock for that voltage.

It bit much to ask, but it would be nice to see how much you can draw without power limiting. just run the same test but keep lowering the clocks until it does limit anymore. Remember its not about how high you clk or score, just interested in power smile.gif

I don't power limit at 2025 core, .981v, +618 memory in TimeSpy or Superposition 4K Optimized. The pic is my TimeSpy run. smile.gif

Asus BIOS and still getting a respectable score. biggrin.gif

This is same clocks but tweaking the Nvidia control panel settings, only 100 points behind my best ever score. smile.gif

Edit: Now to test stock BIOS at same settings. redface.gif

I get Perf caps at any lower clock speed than 2050. Even 2000Mhz@1.05V gives me a perf cap. This is frustrating.

Anyone know Power Limit for ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Edition?

I am thinking about sending back my Aorus Xtreme and grabbing that ZOTAC AMP! Extreme Edition.

It looks DOPE as hell! wink.gif (not mine picture)

What are you doing nvidia?
This is gigabyte gtx 1080ti founders edition, with stock bios, all I did was increase PT by 20% as much as afterburner allowed, otherwise it`s running stock and it`s watercooled, this was while playing mass effect andromeda...

EDIT: Although I can run a benchmark with it, I still do not recommend this bios as I can't play Witcher 3 with it. It crashes.

When you shunt mod if you find that witcher still crashes it might be related to your OC.
