Newegg Premiere member w/ auto rush processing, next day delivery, Saturday delivery....And package hasn't left CA despite my order getting in multiple hours before the rush processing cutoff time.

Great service

Did anybody else who ordered from Newegg have their card shipped?

High annoyed right now. I called and they confirmed that it's most likely still with newegg. She put in request to refund me all of the delivery charges and to call them back on Monday if tracking hasn't updated or whatever. Most likely won't renew the Premiere service because of this.

TBH whether it's NVIDIA Pre-Orders or Newegg orders the way they handle these releases is ****. Take pre-orders, prepare the shipments, mail the cards in an efficient way so that pre-orders arrive on the doorstop of early adopters between 8 AM and 8 PM on the day of release and free of shipping charge.

Yes the Asus Strix, apparently they are already shipping from ASUS to suppliers, shops will then need to have them shipped to them.

We will be able to order from shops in another 5-7 days if thats the case

He can only knows about Asus one? No info about EVGA? biggrin.gif

So did I screw myself over by getting one of these if I don't plan on watercooling? By that I mean the FE version. Read through a handful of reviews that talked about the 84c (that sounds scary by the way) but didn't think much about it till today. My current 980 ti gets to just under 70c under heavy load.

I never buy reference design... always wait for the superior components and cooling of a AIB board.

This was recorded doing 2 loops of the firestrike extreme benchmark. Core clock bounced around from 1960 - 2000. I did mess around briefly with memory overclocking, I took the card to 11,716Mhz memory and I gained a whole 8 points in firestrike extreme - not worth it. My ambient temp is 68F or 20C.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Firestrike Extreme

GPU overclock settings:

Core Voltage - Not changed
Power Limit - 120%
Temp Limit - 90C
Core Clock - +152 (2,000Mhz in firestrike)
Mem Clock - 0
Fan Speed - Curve which maxes out at 65% at 84C

Meh. The GPU is designed to run at 84C. The aftermarket cards will net you 3-5% fps boost at best.
