I need to find a way to reduce my loadtemps on my 1080ti by like 2-3c without increasing the rpm, the gpu gets downclocked from 2050 to 2037 because it passes 45c and 2037 is such a strange number.
But 600rpm on my fans is about as loud as I am willing to tolerate, increasing D5 vario speed from setting 2 -> 3 wont really help me I quess.
Runnin 560 monsta and 1 cpu + 1 gpu fans at 600rpm + D5 setting2, gpu maxes out at 48c after a few hours of masseffect andromeda, what temps are you getting on your cards ?

With 1.000mv on the core I can go up to 2012 core, that's not that bad but it's not something amazing either, what is amazing is that at 1.000mv I can pretty much avoid power limit at all times, playing through RoTR maxed out at 4k at the moment and the card is pegged 99% usage and it only draws 80-85% tdp. I can live with 2012 on the core and +700 on the mem to be honest. With 1.0930 I can get close to 2100+ but I'm always power limited and the card is way hotter, not worth for me since I'm not on watter.

Technically I have a 1080 Ti FE on the way from a Step-Up, but I plan to sell that without opening it.

The next couple weeks are gonna be fun.
And that reference card could be better than any of them.

I can do 2012 core, 6142 memory at .975v and avoid all throttling under water even in stock BIOS and I still get 10862 on TimeSpy at those settings. biggrin.gif

Wish I had your problem lol.

Im stuck at +60/+350 on stock voltage.

Not sure why it jumped up 5 bins like that. Before this I was running 2063 @ 1.062v. Looks like my card really likes 1.062v. BTW TC Wildlands is VERY CPU dependent. More so than any of the other games I play.

What happens when a card does hit the power limit? Does it lower fps due to the throttle?

It is doing that for stability.

Your card drops voltage bins. Voltage draws more power, at if you're at 1V and drawing 100 watts, at 1.1v you'd draw around 110 watts.

So your GPU down volts until you're power draw doesn't reach its limit.
