I know!

Not gonna bother tbh, I'm returning it to newegg. rolleyes.gif

The 2nd one is unfortunately already on it's way from Super Biiz, hope that one doesn't have whine or heating issues...

AORUS CARDS are poop mad.gif Don't buy Xtreme cards, I can confirm that problems with those are true:

! I was thinking that I have good card, no problem- it could run Heaven, boosting nicely. NO.

First of all, my card started to artefacting in every game and Benchmark like crazy. Even with stock Memory settings it artefacting now everytime.

Whats more- I just can't start playing games, especially BF1. It crashes immidietly after map is loaded and I am suppose to chose class. I got error about DirectX 11 failure/something and that card has been physically removed. Which means drivers crash.... Even on stock settings not touching afterburner at all....

So my card is broken and I can't play anything with it... Superb. Didn't have all that problems with Asus Strix or my 980Ti. mad.gif

I don't know what is wrong with those cards but I recommend avoiding Aorus cards right now.

Super dissapointed considering price and waiting.

Every time I try to start game on stock settings, no even OC mode, anything:

And artefacts everywhere.... mad.gif

On Auto fan curve card got to 88 and then killed Heaven... I don't get why it's soooo hot. On the upside card doesn't see to throttle much, I'm not really seeing many perf caps unlike my founders or the TXp.

Something is VERY wrong there. I have the same card and run my fans at 100% and haven't seen temps go past 55C and that is only under heavy benchmarking. While gaming I'm usually hanging between 45C-50C. You need to take the cooler off and make sure all the thermal pads are on correctly and re-tim the core.

Next you drag the voltage point you want to 2041 core, so for me it's 1.000v to 2041, apply it again, now from a straight line from 1.000v to the right it'll be at 2032. Lastly I smooth out the curve below 1.000 to 2025 at .993, 2012 at .981 and gradually lower.

By applying the core point one point higher then the core speed you want, like 2041 fur a 2032 core speed it doesn't jump higher.

Another example If you put say 2025 at 1.000v at 2025 directly and hit apply the voltage will jump to .1.062v at times for some reason.

But if you put it at 2032 at 1.000v, hit apply, it'll actually apply to 2025 at 1.000v on s straight line to the right and NOT jump higher at all.

I might make a quick video about this trick. smile.gif

Thanks! I have noticed that. Didn't think about it when trying the curve with the lower voltage. Do you get any Perfcap Reason's in GPU-Z with that voltage?

No, it will not be unlocked. Sorry to disappoint you but 4 of us already measured the power draws from the Asus bios and it doesn't give you 30 watts. Bloodhawk, Nico, Kraxkills and I have all measured PM the power output of the Asus bios and at most it seems to give you 10 watts.

500x1000px-LL-78e8ee12_SystemPowerDrawASUSvsStock.png

Second, 30 watts is not enough, you need 75-80 more watts to not be power limited. So even if the ASUS bios gave you 30 watts, which I along with 3 others am skeptical about, it would only stop you from hitting power limits sometimes. You'll never be able to run 1.075-1.093 Volts without the shunt mod.

Stock bios with shunt mod, accessing 75-100 watts of more power.

900x900px-LL-b810b17a_ShuntvsStockPowerDraw.png

KedarWolf needs to do his test with the stock BIOS and Asus bios and read his PSU draw. His nvidia power command prompt is with his physx card still connected and it's giving him the power draw for both cards. If he did a furmark with the Asus and stock BIOS and measured using corsair link and PSU, he'd make the same discovery the 4 of us have already made.

Edit :I attached wrong last image I'll post-office the right one later.

You get a "bad" card, which from what you posted is (yet to be determined), and from that you are suggesting that people avoid them? There are bad apples with all vendor models.

What troubleshooting have you tried? Remove drivers? Reseat card? Do a clean install? What are your temps?

Ouch, $700 worth of frustration. You just don't expect that from an item of this value. How were temps? Simple inadequate factory application of thermal pads or paste will do stuff like this -- problem is of course, you void warranty trying to correct the issue yourself, if it can be fixed. Good luck.

So Newegg wants to charge a restocking fee... and the SuperBiiz card I bought will be here Monday...

My 2 Aorus cards are now on eBay. The TXp is going back in the mail tomorrow... And I just ordered 2 EVGA 1080 Ti FE's and another hybrid kit, and I'm going to mount the two hybrid rads in the front of my case and swap the H100i out for a Kraken X42, CPU temps should still be very manageable.

I just hope these FE cards clock well and have no issues. thumb.gif

Wow man you are lucky! So I'm still having issues with this. After hitting ctrl+d to default the curve should I move the points up below 1.043v to match the line? I ask because when defaulted the straight line starts at 1.043v. Should I move the points below 1.043v all the way to 1.012v up to match the line BEFORE I hold shift and move the entire curve up? I'm still a little confused. If you could make a video that would be great. I tried what you said and when I launched The Witcher 3 it started at 1.043v @ 2038 when I wanted 1.012v @ 2025. Then after a minute it jumped up a bin to 1.05v. So I'm definitely doing something wrong. I'm in the process of trying this again, but I am still a little confused by what you mean by "hold shift and move it above the OC you want. When I look at your graph it is straight all the way forward. Mine looked like this:
