Ok, so anyone who hasn't re-pasted with Kryonaut needs to get on that ASAP. I put my EVGA Hybrid on my FE when I first got it with the MX4 I had kicking around and ordered a tube of TG: Kryonaut, it showed up today and the results are impressive.

I've settled into 2012mhz @ 0.981v for my 24/7 clocks, I've got 2x SP120 Performance Edition fans on my hybrid in a push pull. I run them off a MB header and have Speedfan setting a curve. Fan speed ramps up to 70% over 50c, prior to that it's reasonably quiet up to 50% (30% at idle),

Prior to re-pasting, I ran two back to back runs of Supo. Max temp I saw was 51c, it would flutter between 50-51 and top out there. I took it apart and slapped the TG on and immediately re-ran the same back to back Supo and the top was 44c. It would flutter back and forth between 43-44c now.

Not only did I gain 7c for a $15cdn spend but as long as it keeps under 50 degrees my ears will be very grateful.

time to update your sig rig, brother.
Our systems are so similar. We run the exact same ram and ram timings, too. I have my 2400Mhz c-10 corsair dominator platinum undervolted and running a tight 9,9,9,24 @ 2133. We (now, since you finally caught a winner with the Rog)are both running over 2063 on our 1080Ti's, and at very cool temps. And of course we are both rocking the mad overclocked Broadwell Destroyers.

cheers.gif Sick system, Bro!

So I am honestly thinking of joining this club...this and an m.2 will futureproof my rig for another 3 years or so I think (see sig).

But my question is what is the best one to get? I seem to remember on past cards, MSI add their own PWM etc for better overclocks?

I have an asus 690 it has done well. I don't normally overclock graphics cards, my priority is low noise and TDP really.

I only play rocket league and arma 3 but arma 3...it hits vram limit (2gb per core) at 1080p so 11gb of ram would come in useful! Will be buying escape from tarkov too.

Thanks!

I mean it literally poured out and over the GPU die edges ... even dripping down the copper cooling plate ... LOL!!!

I seriously had to take a five minute break as I just kept staring at in in amazement; never in all my days have I seen that ...

Anyway ...

Repasted with Kryonaut, nice even coat ... added eight Enzotech heatsinks to the VRM cooling plate ... and just for fun, strapped on a honker 3000RPM Scythe Kaze fan ... and have quite literally dropped my load temps by 10C. Formerly I would load at 52C and now it only occasionally breaks 42C (hour long 1440p all maxxed Unigine Heaven run, going to do different tests later); this in a 22C ambient room mind you...

But that factory paste job though!

exactly why you should ALWAYS repaste every single gpu you ever buy. it's pathetic. but also great to be able to get such gains for so little effort/cost. makes it more fun tbh.

BTW. It is really hard to push this card to limit in BF1 on 1440p. On Monarchy map GPU usage was rarely above 87% and sometimesin 74-75%. Of course that depends on map. In German City map it easly goes 96-99%). No CPU bottleneck with 4.2 Ghz 5775C (65 % lowest core usage on cire 1, 75% highest core usage on core 3).

BF1 is REALLY heavy CPU dependent game.

I am downloading again Witcher 3 to push this card hard rolleyes.gif

Really beast cards, those 1080 Tis
yeah, no doubt. I've settled in on all ultra but medium post process and 112% resolution slider. No jaggies AT ALl, I keep 99%~ usage, and still stay over 135 fps. Usually still 144 on most maps. Lowest Ive seen was scar at about 122/

Glad to hear it man! Franken cooling ftw! I love gaming in the 50c's on air. It's dope! Definitely order some Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and you'll be in the 50c's, too! biggrin.gif

Why would you want Vsync / Fast Sync "On" with Gsync+RSS limiter? if anything it would never come on anyway and at worse would add lag that did need to be there. No sync is always the least lag and a limiter is designed to avoid it hitting Vsync threshold. I can't see Gsync+Vsync being less laggy than Gysnc+No Sync within the Gsync operating range, but if it is I would be curious to know smile.gif

because g-sync doesnt work between 135-144 and because I also have a 4k/60 and fast sync works great on that. And fast sync adds no input lag, it just stops screen tearing. fast on or off is the same on input lag so no worries there. i used to always run off , too, but i prefer this method now. Blurbusters recommends vsync on, but i just wont do it and settled on fast to try it out. Been on it everr since. Works great on the 4k, too. Feels like free freeesync lol.
