So if you are above 50C you should always be voltage limited, right?

No, but your card wont allow max possible clock above 50°C. I think voltage limit comes a little later, when the card is at the highest possible voltage.

Sorry, my explanation is not to good. Maybe somebody else knows it more exactly?

I might do a 2152 run later if I have time. I can't remember, what are you superposition scores again?

On my actual 24/7 settings i get 10111.

Graphics cards for 800 bucks are luxury, and luxury is mainly emotional, not rational. I am not even a real gamer, i do bench and test a lot more than i actually game.

By the way, is it possible, that the first batch of 1080Ti, like the FEs, did have a slightly better-to-overclock memory than the later cards? I remember everybody telling their mem can hit 6000+ in the first weeks, now it seems to be common, that it can not do the magic 6GHz. I think with 1070 it was similar, but that was because of the samsung/hynix/micron BIOS topic. Do i have the wrong impression, is it coincedence or does it have a system?

Nevermind the clocks, the card is technically damaged even though its brand new in box. I don't even know if that qualifies for an exchange. A scratch on the GTX logo?

But anyway I think all the memory chips on the 1080tis are micron based. So I don't think it has that issue you are talking about. I had a 1070 strix with samsung memory before this and if I recall correctly it went up to +400mhz on memory max. There were people getting higher memory clocks with micron chips after the bios update though.

Out of curiosity, what is the average memory overclock on AIB cards here?

you are hitting the voltage limit because you set your card to use no more than 1v so it's limited, nothing to worry about.

I'll try to optimize tomorrow. I just figured you guys were maxing out all settings as far as they would go and still getting over 100fps.

I'm still not understanding something about this whole processes even after watching the videos etc. Not sure what I'm missing. More testing tomorrow though.
well that's your problem, man. You have the setting that Baasha would use... ie the settings of a 4 Titan Xp SLI madman!

Can you still return to get a replacement? I can't imagine, I would also be very frustrated.
I didn't hold out long enough to buy custom cards. Got an clocking FE but I had to shunt mod to reach it's potential, man did the coil whine reveal itself after all was said and done biggrin.gif
Been trying some benchmarks, max I've clocked is 2152 pulling 590w from the wall. Tryed 2160+ but it crashes after 10 seconds on superposition.
For memory I can clock +650 on cold run, oddly enough I ran +660 on first few benchmarks and never again.
yeah, not even. average is about 2000. even in overclockers.net, so, we have a better average than regulare fools do. average overall is like 1900. If you can keep 2000, that's a good card. My first one topped out at 1974 :/

My Aorus holds 2088/2076 @ 1.05v. Thing is a beast.

That said, if you are only clock concerned , I'd buy the Zotac. Best chance of a 2100. Best chance of a 2076. And basically guaranteed a 2025.

I got it through newegg and I doubt they will.

Do you refund us if we buy a Zotac and if this is not true for some of us ? wink.gif

After some testing with 3d mark and superposition my Zotac holds about 2037-2050mhz max stable. So no, its really silicon lottery after all.

And like I've mentioned a few posts before, anything past 11.6ghz on the memory starts artifacting.
