NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Owner's Club - Page 694

Seems like my STRIX can hold in Witcher 3 perfectly stable 2063 clock at 1.062V. This is the bin where it stops hitting Power Limit in W3 and downclock itself if temps stay below 60C. Any higher voltage bin makes card hits power limit and drop bin in W3 until it reach 1.062V where it holds. At 70% Fan speed after few hours in W3 I saw max 58C.

I think I will repaste it soon with Grizzly to drop it even more so I can maybe run it at 60% fan.

Can bench at 2088 at 1.081V but that is useless to me biggrin.gif.

At lowest bin I could get 2012 at 1.000V. Funny I couldn't get above 2038 until 1.04V where I could finally hit 2050.

EVGA Founders with Hybrid Kits. Same power draw, clocks (comes with stock OC though), same everything....slightly worse scores.

I've tried all the bios's out there and nothing compares to the FE stock bios.

Same result here, probably better than SC2 and Inno3d, but not as good as FE. also its not drawing more than 300w + spikes for me and power limiting.

2100 / 6055 (mem better a bit higher like sc2)

most notable thing is the conflict better AB and GPU-Z, AB is like its reading the FE bios and doing 120%, but GPU-Z is reading about 100% plus spikes so 300w

seems to power limit less, but not significantly and again probably due to a softer bios that does demand quite the same power and slightly less voltage per clk bin. Again better than sc2 but I can't match the FE bios in SuPo 4K.

smi shows maxes upto 313w and averages not exceeding 300w, and I checked my UPS power out and it was only peaking at 423w with monitor connected also. With PSU efficiency then what its giving to the systems is even less.

2126 / 6055 to showing some power limiting

lastly not stable in games at same clks as FE frown.gif

Edit: thinking about "but GPU-Z is reading about 100% plus spikes so 300w", that's exactly what the Asus bios did, 111% of 275 = 300w but AB agreed with that at least.

Is Driver 378.92 more stable than 381.65? Noticed you're running the older driver Nico67.

Do you guys run into the issue where your clocks won't go back to 3D mode? I play games in Fullscreen (Windowed) and stream or look at forums on my other monitor. If I click off the game and go back my clocks won't go up and it keeps me at like 0.712v.

So you measured the power draw and its similar to the Inno3d and Asus bios, just +15 watts over stock?

It was around 10100-ish. Somewhere in the hundreds. Was actually surprised because I only score about an extra 100 or so points when I'm running my daily 2063 @ 1.063v, but I think I'm going to stick with this for now. I've actually noticed some smoother performance in games since it's not jumping around the bins all the time. I'm very happy I found out there was a lock function for the voltage curve. I've tried underclocking before without much success, but now that I can lock bins it's perfectly stable.

Yeah but the only thing about locking is your card won't idle. It'd be annoying to have to unlock and relock it each time even if your already have a profile setup.

I would say Inno3d is the only one giving you the extra watts, but its only 15w. Asus may being giving you a few extra, but the Palit doesn't seem to be giving any I would say, although I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say a few like the Asus smile.gif

Jumping around the bins in games? Strange as mine stops changing clock when it reaches 1.063V bin. Never went below even in Witcher 3 Ultra. In all other games- same thing.

From my experience there should be a bin where card simply stops downclocking itself unless you start hitting Temperature Cap....

But maybe different AIBs behave differentely.

Palit bios works great with shunt mod. over 425w TDP confirmed with PSU power measurement.

That's what I get with stock bios. Is it giving you higher scores?
