That's a good point, but it's just a few key presses to unlock it anyways. I'm going to be going back to a regular curve once the waterblock is released for it. It would be nice if they could implement a function where the bin is only locked when the GPU load hits a certain percentage. Would make things a lot easier.

So I assume, 1.04 (havent done it yet) would be the completely non power limited voltage for supo 4k on our Aorus'. We hit the jackpot with these two! They are both 2100 cards when watered.
i just keep a second profile that's exactly the same except unlocked and has the "fanstop" working, and is on optimum power in NCP, so i just switch profiles after gaming/benching and it instantly drops to 240Mhz and goes silent.

Yeah man I ordered mine on launch day and it boosted to 2000 out of the box with the power slider at 125%. I actually found my FPS to be higher with a memory OC of +350 composted to the "sacred" 12Ghz OC which is perfectly stable, but it performs worse in all scenarios four some reason. Memory is strange. I haven't pushed it past 1.063v (yet) with a core of 2063 I get a voltage related performance cap in GPU-Z , but if I drop down the voltage to the nex bin I also get power related performance caps also. I can't wait for the waterblock to be released for this thing I haven't run air in years, although this is the coolest card with an air cooler I've ever used. Max temps during benchmarks doesnt usually break 53C. Max I've seen was 55C. During gaming I'm mostly in the mid to lower 40s, sometimes up to 50C depending on game. This is at 1.063v.

These Aorus cards are great if you get a good one.

I'm good, I don't think it's worth drawing more power from the motherboard as the RX 480's supposedly broke a few motherboards because they drew 10 extra watts from them.

my mems only like up to +416, so I feel yeah. With the clocks you get i bet if you did +51Mv on the voltage slider and locked to 1.08 at 2088 you'd hold it, then settle at 2063. Temps are about the same tbh. That's my sweet spot it seems and our cards are really close to the same. That is when all my perfcaps went away. I ordered that first morning after I woke up just like you did.

Aorus extreme is 1636core. i dont think there is one higher yet. zotac extreme and Galax HOF are close, maybe higher. K|ngp|n will be the highest as the line fills out.

Looks like we got them from the same batch. I actually hold 2063 @ 1.063 perfectly. I never drop bins while gaming. I think it's because I'm not power limited so the card wants to give it more voltage. Going to wait until it's under water before pushing it further.

350W power limit, 100 points more in Time Spy than any other BIOS I've tried. Getting 2052 core at 1.025v and not crashing, had to do 1.050v before. cheers.gif

And getting 2100 core sustained in Heaven at 1.093v, no power limiting. Best I could do since Windows 10 Creator Updater was 2088 1.093v. biggrin.gif

And not power limiting at 1.025v. band.gif

My new go to BIOS!! biggrin.gif

Just had a thought in regards to AB's weird behaviour with this bios, and it seems your running 4.4.0 beta6. Just wondering if that might be applying power offsets properly were 4.3.0 isn't? Could you run a quick load test to see what max power is on AB and GPU-Z for comparison.

I did notice that the Palit is using a different v reg from the FE cards which I didn't think Nvidia were allowing, but there yah go smile.gif Could be 4.3.0 doesn't recognise it and doesn't actually add the extra power?

Why would I keep hitting the power limit in timespy if it's not hitting 120%? I got a 15600 score but the past couple of days I can barely get to 15k..

But so far I actu believe this might be it, if someone is hitting 116%, this bios maximum power draw, then that should be 350 watts

It's going to be difficult to get a representative sample, but FWIW I'll flash this shortly and report back. I cant measure actual power draw, which is unfortunate, but I've got a pretty good feel for the card and how it behaves in SuPo on the FE BIOS.
