I'd wait. The forum on it doesnt look promising. Higher cpu usage, 10% lower benches, and games that are cpu heavy as well. Wait for the (now inevitable) hotfix.

That's more thicker than needed but don't worry it's like a clay you can reform it. It'll more than likely compress to your needs.

1mm is perfect.

Is it possible to not run into a power limit on time spy? No matter how low I drop the voltage, I still hit the power limit.

I used a thermal gun. Backplate was 40C. After adding fujipoly, it is now at 60C so obviously heat is transferring to it.

I wonder if it is helping in any other way than heat dissipation. I did notice better and more stable overclocks after going on water, however, I used fujipoly pads as opposed to the EK pads. I am willing to bet that these have helped too. Unfortunately I can't quantify it. I would love to see someone on an ICX card to compare stock EVGA pads to Fujipoly since there are loads of temp monitors.

It's just power hungry. I've pointed out that you need around 375-400 watts to run it without power limiting. Even if the Pilat bios gives you 30 watts it's not enough.

A 1080 Ti to reach it's true potential needs 375+ watts.

But let's be honest here, that's just like a 2% difference in performance. And most average people can barely hit 2000 Mhz. Thus only affects like probably 5% of the population that are Watercooling and have a lottery winner.

Try .950v or lower.

Ah so it is normal? Ive got the AIO water coolers on them and temps never exceed 47c under timespy. Ive seen some users report no power limiting when benching with timespy but it seems impossible! I am worried that it effects performance somehow.
