I'm thinking of getting some fujipoly for thermal pads too! But you think we should use 1.0 or 1.5?

I would go with 1.5mm because it will compress and make better contact. The 0.5mm pad seems too thin in my opinion. I'm too impatient to wait and order 1.5mm pads since I already have the block put together.
Did you use any nut to secure the last two pan head screws to your backplate/pcb? I left mine off, but may try to secure it.

What software do you have running in the system tray? Turn everything off (Firefox/Chrome) and see if down clocks. Also try it with just one display plugged in. I have PG278Q @ 144hz and with gsync enabled it down clocks, with it off it does not. NZXT CAM will not allow your card to down clock with it running. Aquacomputer's aqua suite is another culprit. Usually it's something in your sys tray.

The only thing i have running is GPU-Z and Afterburner, Rivatuner and audio driver. I removed a monitor and just ran one. Did not help.

The thing is, I have not yet seen it run low clocks, so it's not something that has happened with the latest driver or something. I thought i had horrible air flow first, since everyone posted idle temps in the 30s on reviewcards, and i had 55.

Same for me. I thought maybe it could be Corsair CUE for my kb and mouse but I have tried closing everything other than XOC and it still doesn't down clock. I wonder if XOC itself is causing it. I could try a different monitoring program maybe.

You have nothing else in the sys tray? Try to turn off the audio driver helper just to check. Try running 60hz just to see. Reboot after you set it. It's a frustrating issue, but you'll figure it out. It's either the driver (less likely) though I've blamed it many times. But is more likely something in the background making it clock up. Maybe try running just GPUz and turn off afterburner. Try to isolate it.

What is the reason behind V0p or Vrel? Is my clock to high for bin, or too low for bin or what?
man, i wish i could help you. it all boils down to a magic spot that has enough volts for the clock, but not too much, and isnt power limited, and isnt hot. but BF1 is a good place to try to achieve it b/c it never power throttles and also that keeps temps down.

seems to me to basically have the same effect as locking at your highest voltage.

age.

Any of you guys still have signal interrupt with the new driver?
This is the 4th driver since the release of the card and it seems it still isn't fixed (though the issue seems to happen less).

Just did another reboot. Put lower hz, removed afterburner @ startup.Still the same baseclock.

I could kind of understand it if it actually had some load. But the GPU load is 0%.

I might just accept it and run the fans at around 20% to keep it around 42-43C idle.

Me too, I also put it all together already as you can see. Anyway, I just screwed it and it held it lol! Don't really understand what they are for. biggrin.gif
