Well I just took mine out. In the case with a flash light I could see something that resembled the copper color you had. I pulled the card out and out of the case I couldn't see it. I still think I'm going to do a tear down and clean everything again. I know my Rasa CPU block looks horrible and will be replaced soon with an EK Supremecy but that has me worried. I've been so weary after the plating issues of old.

Anyways, I am selling the MSI Gaming X POS today and ordered an ASUS STRIX for another chance at lottery.

Poor guy my MSi gaming X POS overclocks to 2050 at 1.050 voltage. +100 core +400 memory with overclock mode is Msi gaming app, didn't touch voltage

So i would recommend trying to use the curve if you haven't. Try to put 2012 at 1.000v, if that works work your way up.

Using no curve, with Power/Temp set to max and voltages untouched, ... core at 2012mhz and memory at 5895mhz ... max voltages recorded during stress testing (various tests) ... top out at 1.063v ...

And man I've had very little luck with the curve ... I find those nodes so tedious to move about ... I think the best I got was 2025mhz core at 1.050v ... but it was a little unstable ...

To be sure, though ... other than my OCD (which is horrible BTW) ... I detect no ingame FPS difference when playing at 1987mhz core vs 2025mhz core ... I haven't measured but feel positive 35mhz or so are completely not an issue when gaming.

Fun cards for sure ... just the sheer power of the thing ... but not that great of overclockers ...

Seems to definitely be related to mixed refresh rates. Although I've heard different things about 3 monitors. It works for some people and not for others. I'll find out later if it's dvi or if it's just 3 monitors. FWIW my 780ti downclocked fine with my same setup.

The curve can be tedious. Just want to let you know (in case you didn't) that there are hotkeys for the curve. if you hold "shift" and click you can slide the whole curve up and down, so then you just put the flat part where you want to be, then move the lower ones up.

Takes some time fiddling though, and like you said it's more for just "knowing" it is where you want it to be. Probs wont see it in game smile.gif

I have been trying to set my curve. I noticed during benchmarks with all 3 (timespy, firestrike, supo 4k) that the mhz tends to jump around a lot. I see it range from 1934-2063. I am on a full custom 720mm water loop. The card is EVGA FE 1080ti. How come when I put the curve at a certain number and at a certain mv the crosshair thing goes below where I have it? If it does that do I need to actually lower the block to that point? Also I have seen my max power hit 127. Isn't that too high?

My scores are:

Timespy Graphics Score 10,780.
Supo 4k Score was 10,011.

Didn't test firestrike as I used it for a loop when adjusting. Last one I have was before messing with the curve more.

My card doesn't downclock at idle but I am running Performance mode at 1440p.
