I will try to make curve higher. So right now 2038 was at 1.050V so I will try to make it at 1.062V.

Card does not hit power limit or anything. No artefacting. I have no idea why it eventually crashes...

That is a sign of core instability, my card behaves the same way. Memory OC instability = artifacting, Core clock OC instability = Straight crash.

I know that, but in every other game crad is table at 2063 or 2050. I can play hours in BF1 with 2063 core and no problem.

Witcher 3 is the only game that causes me so much trouble. For example in Heaven I know that my card can stay stable at 2038 at 1.043 and 1.050V. It can also stay stable at 2050 at 1.062V. But Witcher 3 does not accept those results biggrin.gif. Seems like for Witcher 3 you have to drop clock and up bins at one point. So if in Heaven your clock was stable at lets say 2050 at 1.063V in Witcher 3 you should make it 2050 at 1.075V.

This game is nuts when it comes to stable clocks. You can play for hour and think you have 24/7 stable clocks and then hour later it shows you middle finger biggrin.gif

It draws the most power and probably is using the GPU in some way that is very antsy about overclocking or clock stability in general. It's a good way to test stability for sure biggrin.gif

The next game I'm looking forward to is Prey. Hopefully it runs really good on high end systems.

EDIT: Running out of games to play so going to be a good game to put the 1080ti to the test in.

Can you guys tell me your stable clocks in Witcher 3? By stable I mean you can play it for long hours/day without crash, not hour/two or so biggrin.gif

So maybe the instability is related to temperature. Pascal is sensitive in that regard. If u can get < 60C u might be good with your lower volts.

Higher voltage will cause the temperature to rise and might actually cause instability. So it's really a balancing act.

I guess this is simply related to the power consumed by the game and thus the heat produced. That is, on the Strix the gpu and vram conduct heat to both the heat sink and backplate. Thus, in a more demanding game (like Witchter 3) your vram gets hotter due to the shared heat sinks with the gpu (and hence your vram is less stable) even if you use the same mem clock that is stable in all your less demanding games (like BF1).

You probably also don't need 1.0930mv to hit 2037, more like 1.0430-1.0620 for 100% stability is the norm for that clock speed.

Exactly what I'm trying to find but I can't seem to get the curve to behave properly for the lower voltage bins. It decides to throttle down at voltages between 1.025-1.075. But keeps itself stable at 2012@1.00v or 2025@1.081 and 2037@1.093. Anything in between and the behavior is different.

Temps hover around 70-75c with fan speed at about 70-80% with an ambient room temp of 32c.
Thank you for your feedback.
I have myself the Zotac since yesterday, and I am trying to compare it to my 4 previous 1080ti: 1 FE, 2 MSI, 1 Asus
I have returned the FE because it was too loud, the 2 MSI had massive coil whine (you can hear from another room), and the Asus was struggling oc to 1900Mhz...
Now I am happy with my first Zotac, the silent beast smile.gif
But I'm trying to figure out why 2 different cards, if set to the exact same level of initial boost clock (let's say 1759Mhz) will boost to different clocks?
Is it encoded in the chip itself? Is it controlled by the bios?
