The argument "Nvidia didn't make the Titan for gaming, rather for professional workloads" is a load of crap and always has been. Even the OG Titan was marketed as a "by gamers for gamers" card.

Nvidia is screwing everyone in price and they've been doing so for 5 years. There is no immorality in this per-se, as they have had zero high end competition from AMD and so they have behaved exactly as a company without competition behaves... By increasing their pricing as much as they can get away with.

The only thing I think is unethical that they've done is mislead consumers by labeling midrange chips as the x80 part (680, 980,1080) - a nomenclature which used to denote their high end chip.

But the blame for pricing is squarely on AMD for underperforming and being unable to compete.

hi all.

has anyone apart from the Guru3d reviewer has confirmed that the afterburner voltage control tweak works? I am running a EVGA 1080ti and the Afterburner tweak correctly identifies the 1080ti when the .oem2 line is added however the voltage slider does not work. Replacing part of the oem2 line with ???????? gives me the voltage slider however it has no affect on the voltage readout when used.

Also>

GPU Tweak has voltage control slider - no affect when used
Precision XOC has voltage control slider - no affect when used.

Did something happen between review and release or have others had success with the voltage controls ?

I went from 2x EVGA GTX 980Tis SC+ ACX 2.0 to Nvidia REF GTX 1080ti in hope to ditch SLI because within the last year SLI support has really gone down the toilet and the games that do support DX 11 SLI don't really make good use of the power of 2 GPUs, having said that do you guys think 1 1080Ti is good to stick with for 1440p or should I get another once I sold my 2 GTX 980tis.

How do the aftermarket blower cards like the Asus Turbo compare to the Founder's Edition? I have an ITX build in the Nano S and am leaning towards a blower cooler, but not sure if it's worth waiting on Asus/Zotac/etc. They also seem to not have a backplate unlike the FE.
