Anyone else having problems with G-Sync since last driver update?

I am pretty sure G-Sync does not work in Witcher 3 for me. I see a lot of micro-stuttering when I play. Experience is not smooth as it should be. A lot of small stutter, jumps... mad.gif

This works thank you +rep!

This only lasts for one second before displaying again, a signal interruption basically.

Turn vsync off in game, download RivaTuner, cap frame rates to 2 less than your refresh rate, also an unstable memory overclock can cause stuttering, try lowering it. redface.gif

Its Witcher 3, fps never go higher than 119, V-Sync is off and memory OC is 0 because I am testing sliders clocks.

Didn't have it on last drivers...

My Gsync stuffed up with the latest drivers, monitors built in frame counter stopped displaying at all, thought I'd killed Gsync lol. Use the Nvidia control panel Gsync indicator to see if it is functioning in game, or if you monitor has an info page that shows working mode that should say Gsync. If none showing Gsync working, then switch Gsync to Windowed+full screen mode and it should hopefully start working again, you can switch back to just fullscreen again afterward and it should stay Gsync.

What Gsync does is make sure a whole frame is displayed as soon as it's sent to the monitor, rather than display part of the next frame. In non gsync monitors, the GPU essentially has to wait on the monitor (vsync). In adaptive sync displays, the monitor waits on the GPU and displays the whole frame before moving on to the next.

Also, even if frames were dropped, it wouldn't register from the system FPS readout, it would only happen at the screen hardware level.

Apologies for the incorrectness. I vaguely recalled the process of Gsync.

There was some people complaining of worse benchmark scores with Gsync enabled, but I couldn't remember what was the cause of it.

Will still give it a shoot though

So I gave the curve one last go.

Tried to match the same bins with manual oc as well as lower bins at lower voltages. Curve with voltage bins one clock bin higher crashes in 8K Supo while matched bins remained stable at 2012-2025 with a score of 4278. One last test with a lower voltage flat curve at 2012 yielded 4270.

Manual oc of +23 has clocks and voltages jumping all around but at the end of the day it still gave me the highest score of 4472.

Yeah I'm done with the curve lol. I think it gives you the impression of better performance with more stable clocks at lower voltages and less power usage but it can't seem to beat the manual oc in raw score/fps/performance.

Not worth the time fiddling with it IMHO.
