That's awesome. It's hard for me to quantify my gains exactly because I've always repasted with Kryonaut in going from an air cooler to a waterblock. So "technically" my gains were along the lines of 30-50c. tongue.gif Just recently got on the Kryonaut train a while back. My wifes 1060 in our htpc might get to mid 30's possibly on a super hot day on a single 280 mm rad with a 4.1ghz cpu in the loop.

What happened? I thought you had a Strix that did like 2063 all day.

Running a 360 30mm and 45mm 240 rads, fans are Noctua NFF-12 running at 1100 rpm, D5 pump is at max. A few weeks ago my temps while gaming Ghost recon wildlands was around 48C max. I'm not sure what is wrong here.

Yeah that sounds rather toasty for a full waterblock. You sure that you took off the protective film on the block before mounting? Your ambient temps way up? Fans definitely working? Hope that you can get it sorted out.

I thought so, but then it turned out that in more GPU demanding game like W3 or ME:A I can't get more than 2012 without crashing, so like 20mhz more than stock boost.... I dediced to try another one and can't even get that 2012 stable without crashing.

I think I will try FE/EVGA SC/Palit/FTW3 with Kraken mod plus Corsair H90 and Grizzly Kryonaut next.

I just hate having a stock card. I am overclocker and I need to overclock my stuff. Mere 20mhz OC is not OC biggrin.gif

Anyone knows what is Power Limit on EVGA SC, SC2 or FTW3?

I have theory when it comes to getting golden cards that is wait for at least 6 months after release
As the process of making the chips are refined I believe it takes 3-4 months from start to finish to make a silicon chip that means that there is room for them to improve them but the fixes will take several months to surface to the retailers then you got to wait for old stock to move.
Just a theory

I would have been more happy with the Strix in your sig

and the old looking others achievements I tell you the truth I only post my best results, it might of taken a frosty morning or there are plenty of other tricks to boost your score especially drivers I had a few old favourites or a fresh spread of TIM every few weeks/months is probably the best trick I know of.

or simply lie about your stability I can say stability for me is a 6 hour non stop game session for others it could be anything
I notice that stability issues normally show after 1-2 hours of non-stop gaming

So I picked up a Kill-A-Watt since they are so cheap and I am interested in how many watts my computer puts out. With a 6700k @ 1.38v & 4.7Ghz, G.Skill Trident Z 3400Mhz RAM @ 1.65v and my Aorus @ 1.00v & 2050 my max power draw during SuperPosition 4k was 467w. I was thinking it would be higher than that considering I'm running two D5 pumps, 14 radiator fans, and one case fan for exhaust also.

Yup, I could keep 2063 in BF1 and in Dishonored 2 for like 4-5 hours. Then playing W3 or ME:A they would crash in 2hours best. I even once hold 2050 for 5 hours in W3 but it crashed anyway after that.

Sometimes people think they have stable clocks before checking all games they have or play longer than 3 hours.

Well, not too much waste. I love playing with hardware so I am looking foward to Kraken G10 mod smile.gif

Oh I understand. I was hoping for a 2100 card myself, but it was hard enough to get my fingers on the one that I have. When I get around to playing all the Witcher 3 expansions, I will find out if my 2050 clock is truly stable. I already changed my 24/7 clock back from 2063 because I finally got a crash in the Division. My average fps went down about 0.2 fps. I'm at the point of diminishing returns anyway it seems.

I just find it hard to believe that retailers accept poor overclocking as a reason to return a card? You'd be laughed out of the store trying to do that here. Little wonder these things cost $1100 if people are binning them like that.

Really need to know coolant temperatures to get any valid insights. I'd try running the D5 at a lower speed, I have CPU + GPU + 50mm thick 480 Rad + 420 Rads running the pump at like half speed.

I think a person needs some serious help, and I don't mean this in a joking way, if they need to continously return and purchase multiple cards so they can get one that performs an extra 1%-2%.

This has to be some type of ocd thing or on the spectrum of autism where one is obsessed with numbers. But I don't even think car hobbyist purchase multiple mufflers and try them all to take the one that gives them 0.25 extra HP.

Guys, if you're over 2000 Mhz just be happy with it.

Most stores in the EU are required by law to accept a return within 14 days (some up to 45 days here in Norway). You don't need to say it's a bad overclocker, saying this product is not for me or you changed your mind is completely fine. I've done it plenty of times.
