4K is the resolution you will almost never see a CPU bottleneck simply because of the GPU overhead required for rendering.

I ended up just uninstalling statistics server myself.

Wow. I might have to try that game out again to see how mine responds. If yours throttled at less than 1 then I might be majorly power limited.

Glad to see that it brought your temps back down.

Never got Power Limit in large cities as CPU was helping there and there are no much graphical/physic effects in city as everything is stable there and not moving much.

I might be good then. I played for 4-5 hours or so today. I was all over the map and in all kinds of weather including storms riding through the woods. Finally made my card briefly flirt with 37c core temp. I finished the game a while back and I'm still finding a few random encounters after I thought I got pretty much everything. This game is just huge. Expansion packs are next on the list. 😀

I assume most are using the EK blocks; with a few exceptions. And everyone seems to be pasting with Kryonaut or Liq Metal..

When I get my block next week I need to decide whether to connect my Water Chiller back into the loop or buy another radiator.

Currently I only have a medium thickness 360mm EK radiator and a top-of-the-range D5.

Since I disconnected the Water Chiller; (on CPU only just now) it still just doesn't feel like I'm getting the temps I used to when I first installed it all about 7 months ago. (before I got the Chiller).

Saying that, I have changed my motherboard from one that had no LLC setting. To one that does. However It's at it's lowest setting (meaning v.core matches what I enter in BIOS -- in fact it's pretty bang-on in any situation),

Yeah. Everyone's loop is going to be different though. Routing, air flow, fans, ambient temps, number/size/thickness of rads, mounting. A lot of variables. Hope that you get good enough performance that you won't even need the chiller.

For anyone interested, EVGA's 1080 Ti / Titan XP hybrid cooler is back in stock. Or was as of a few hours ago when I ordered one. Previous EVGA hybrid cards have always measured and metered well so it should be a worthy upgrade in terms of noise and thermals for whoever managed to pick one up. Bonus that it is covered by EVGA's warranty.

Do we have a favorite TIM replacement? While I'm replacing the cooler I may as well upgrade the TIM if any prove significantly better than others.
