NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Owner's Club - Page 88

Tad long post, but thought I would share some benching I did most of today between 1080's and 1080Ti's both FE to see how they compare at stock and overclocked with a few Titan X Maxwell Scores sprinkled in.

System Specs used: 5960x @ 4.6 Ghz, Cache @ 4.4 Ghz, 32GB RAM @ 14-17-17-34 1T

Panel used was the ASUS PG348Q, so 3440 x 1440 with V-Sync and G-Sync off in everything.

All cards used a 1:1 fan profile

GTX 1080Ti
  • Stock settings average boost 1860 Mhz Core / 11,016 Memory
  • Overclocked settings average boost 2002 Mhz / 12,000 MHz Memory

GTX 1080
  • Stock settings average boost 1848 Mhz Core / 10,012 Memory
  • Overclocked settings average boost 2075 Mhz / 11,000 MHz Memory

Titan X (Maxwell, EVGA SC BIOS)
  • Stock settings average boost 1316 Mhz Core / 7,012 Memory
  • Overclocked settings average boost 1474 Mhz / 8,020 MHz Memory

% increase and decrease is based on my stock 1080 scores. FPS are Averages

Watch in MSI Afterburner on air. When I set it in a voltage curve to 2000-2080 it don't matter, the temperature will hit 60C right away and it'll down clock it to 1981 no matter how I adjust the curve. redface.gif

Well, until I get paid and order my EK waterblock that is. wheee.gif

Good data and thanks. FYI I think you left off the Ti name on your OC benches. Deus Ex is so unoptimized.

Yeah, all sounds the same after a while when typing up redface.gif Hopefully order makes it fairly obvious.

Yeah Dues Ex is quiet bad as were a few others games I tried but were giving varied results that I ended up leaving them out.

Looks like 1080ti will be able to run Mass Effect Andromeda on Ultra @ 4k60

Earlier today, we got our first report of Mass Effect Andromeda’s PC performance. After EA worried us with recommended requirements targeting just 1080P@30 on High settings, it seems like they were just being very conservative and the game should actually run much smoother.

Bioware’s Michael Gamble, Producer on Mass Effect Andromeda (as well as the original trilogy), commented on Twitter that the PC version is not a port and gamers can rest easy on its quality.

We then asked him if the fastest new single GPU produced by NVIDIA, the GTX 1080Ti, will be able to run Mass Effect Andromeda smoothly at 4K and Ultra settings. Apparently, it may even hit the 60+FPS sweet spot.

Finally got the block installed and the 1080 Ti under water. My 1440p Qnix from South Korea woudln't even show an image, just a black screen with the included adapter. I have a ROG SWIFT PG348Q coming tomorrow which should solve that problem.

Initial random OC results in valley: Core is on 2075Mhz stable with 12k on the memory. Temps are 35-40C in valley. Will report more results tomorrow hopefully.

Panel I use with the cards's is pretty amazing once up and running. Will be curious how much further you get the memory. Taken it to 12 GHz, but still not found point at which score starts droping.
